“What do you drink?” Vaughn asked. “Whiskey, beer, vodka..?” He continued, naming off a few things. He popped off the top to the vodka bottle he had in his hand, drinking a bit of the alcohol straight from the bottle.

"Um. Whatever, usually. But beer is good. Or whiskey," he said, trying to remember how words worked enough to actually ask for something to drink
(just over here internally screeching bc my brain has suddenly decided to try and come up with like 5 different ways Kaz and Vaughn could kiss)
//lmaoo
(IM BACK NOW and shin you wanna share those ideas?)
Vaughn grabbed a full bottle of whiskey and brought it over, setting it on the counter next to Kaz. He sat down in his desk chair, legs stretched out as he took another swig from the bottle of vodka.
(well like 3 of them are really suggestive bc I'm a horrible person sooo)
Kaz took it gratefully, uncapping it and taking a swig before turning so he could face Vaughn. He stared at a spot on the wall, trying not to look directly at Vaughn for fear his brain would end up taking him someplace not exactly appropriate before he could stop himself
(Lmao if you want to tell me we can PM about it)
Vaughn’s grey eyes narrowed slightly in thought as he watched Kaz, analyzing him. He always seemed to be good at that. “You’re scared of me,” He said slowly before bringing the bottle back up to his lips.
Kaz sat up a little, mouth already open to deny him before he sighed, stopping himself. "I…Sort of? I mean I'm scared of everyone because I'm a damn coward, so you aren't exactly special."
//wait don’t just pm I wanna hear too xD
Vaughn scoffed sharply at the last part, frowning as he lowered the bottle. His eyes glanced over the label. Something about how over consumption can cause liver damage. He took another long drink.
(oof fine. basically the main idea was them both getting drunk again and then Kaz does his dumb flirting thing and then Vaughn suddenly goes 'yknow what fuck it' and like..tackle kisses Kaz or something lmao)
//noice
Kaz frowned. "What? Have you ever heard of PTSD?" he huffed, taking a swig of his whiskey. The voice in the back of his mind started to try and pipe up again but he immediately downed more alcohol, not wanting to listen to one word come from that part of his brain
(I’m so down lmao)
Vaughn looked back at Kaz, a hard look on his face. “Of course I have,” He responded curtly, looking back down at the bottle. It had been at half when he got a hold of it, but hell, it was almost gone. He just took another long drink.
"People are terrifying. Hell, the world is terrifying," he scoffed, downing more of the bottle. He was already halfway through and wasn't stopping any time soon. "The worst thing is watching people blow each other up. Routine patrol, right? Typical army stuff. But all of a sudden my buddy in the front steps on a landmine they had forgotten to sweep up after a battle and bam!" he said, making exploding movements with his hands. "Half the group! Half of us died! I got bitchslapped by Alex's arm sailing through the air!"
Vaughn’s eyes narrowed as his foot tapped on the tile floor. He leaned back in the chair, taking another drink. “I suppose we’ve both seen our fair share of uncalled for dismemberment then,” he said in a nonchalant tone, looking up at Kaz.
Kaz calmed down a little, scowling down into his bottle. "Yeah," he said, a little quieter as he downed the rest of his whiskey. "You got any more?" he asked, gesturing with his bottle
Vaughn gave a hum and stood up. He brought the bottle to his lips, finishing the last bit in one long drink. He cleared his throat, mind feeling a bit fuzzy around the edges. He walked over to the fridge, grabbing two more large bottle. He walked over, setting one on the counter for Kaz to have.
"Thanks," he said, taking another swig of alcohol. It tasted different from whiskey, and he looked down at the label. Vodka. Cherry vodka. The kind Michael's roommate kept around. He frowned a little, a pang of something lonely hitting his chest. He ignored it, downing more of the drink. They were fine. Erik would keep Michael safe. She always had
Vaughn popped the cap off his bottle and took a swig, but almost coughed at how strong it was. He looked at the brand. Everclear? That stuff was usually extremely expensive, he was surprised this place had that brand. He took a smaller drink next, the drink burning his throat as it went down.
Kaz took another drink, looking up at Vaughn. His eyes began to wander, and his intoxication kept him from stopping himself. His gaze trailed down Vaughn's figure, clumsily mapping his frame. "Y'know…" he began, taking another sip of the vodka. "You actually look really good in casual clothes. As odd as it is to see you in 'em, since you've been in a suit most of the time I've known you."
(Ahh I’m back)
Vaughn gave a brief hum of acknowledgement and nodded slowly. “I prefer to look professional when I go out,” he said, looking down at himself with a slight frown, fidgeting with his sleeve. He wasn’t sure if it was the thick sweatshirt or how Kaz looked at him, but he was growing hot.
Kaz hummed in agreement, taking another sip of his drink. He laughed a little. "Stabbing people and looking good while doing it," he joked. If he really thought about it, his wardrobe was made almost exclusively of tank tops and cargo pants, with maybe one button down for job interviews and such
“Exactly,” Vaughn commented, a slight slur in his tone. He took a long drink, beginning to get used to the burn of it. “Is that all you wear?” He asked, motioning to Kaz’s body.
Kaz chuckled. "Yep, more or less. I own like…one button down. And that's the closest to looking good I get," he said, now halfway through the large bottle of vodka. Another intrusive thought barged into his mind, and for once he actually liked the idea. He smirked. "I could wear nothing if you like."
