Jay let her drag him along. At this point it was normal for him. But she really was the only one who could get away with being so cute around him. His face never changed from it's placid state, and as he joined the other two girls, he recognized the armor and nodded deeply to the commander, before turning one to the blonde. "Apologies for butting in," his scratchy voice emitted, paling Patagonia's much sweeter one.
Alaria watched Patagonia drag Jay along. He turned and nodded, and she nodded back, mildly amused. It was nice to see that Patagonia could still be happy, despite her current situation.
"So," Alaria began once they had come back to the computer, "we have names and prices. Human trafficking? Buyers?" She turned to Jay, suddenly aware that he was still here, "We're going to have to fill you in."
Jay adjusted the band on his wrist before responding. "Maybe a little, but I've got some info, too." he cringed, looking down at his long-time friend before sighing, explaining to them and admitting to her, "The Brass Monkeys," He alluded to the gang he was a member of, "Is missing a couple buddies. And we think we know who did it. Fingers, right?" he looked down sadly at Patagonia. He should've known she'd be wrapped up in this again. "What can you tell me?" He crossed his arms, looking to the computer screen near them. (I think Oakie's going to be offline for a while, told me had to work)
Gangs, really?, Lucia thought to herself, but she turned and smiled at Jay.
"Are any of these people your buddies?" she asked, indicating the screen.
He placed his paw-finger and thumb to his chin, his blue eyes scanning the photos. He had found some of the members' fingers, but there were more on the screen than what he was informed of, one of which dropped his heart to the bottom of his chest. "Ah.. not Blink.." he choked a bit on his words but quickly swallowed it. It might be a gang, but it might as well be called his family. "More than I was told, unfortunately." He shook his head. "They're going to far. I knew that it was getting out of hand, but I didn't know it was this bad."(I'm probably going to head to bed here, I'll try to be up in about 5-6hrs, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience but it's way past my bedtime already)
Alaria sighed. She had just begun to get a scope of the damage the Ivy League had caused, and then a new peace of the puzzle forced her to pull back the magnifying glass. She was no detective… or a solo warrior. This situation might warrant a full army assembly after all.
hello can someone explain what's going on in this role play and i might join?
Hey sorry yeah you can join.
Ok so:
It's about a group of 3, Alaria, Patagonia and Lucia. They met recently in a cafe, when a waiter collapsed. The waiter was carrying a sort of disc thing, and they looked at it and found a symbol connected to an evil organization, the Ivy League, which Patagonia was a part of.
While they were in the cafe, a monster came and the group fled to Lucia's house. They cooled off there and went back to the cafe to try and question the waiter, but the place was trashed. They found a bag with fingers (the Ivy League cut off the fingers of their kills) and a flashdrive with contained prices and names.
Then, Patagonia's friend Jay showed up, saying that his friends have disappeared and its connected to the Ivy League.
That's about where we are.
The characters: Alaria, soldier and leader of an army; Patagonia, fox hybrid and real estate agent; Lucia, pyrokinetic and telekinetic; Jay, silver wolf hybrid)
(Sorry having a hard time sleeping I'll leave now but I have an idea for the disc, you can say that Jay had to sort through some things, and that he'd call Patagonia when he could)
(Patagonia, fox hybrid and real estate agent
that is the most bad-booty thing i've heard)
"Maybe… Maybe there's something we're missing." Patagonia whispered, looking down at her Altra shoes and regretting she'd said anything at all.
(@Oakie Dokie, you're welcome XD it helps you were part of the organization though)
"What could we be missing?" she questioned Patagonia. It came out rougher than she expected, and she softened her tone. "We don't have enough information to be missing anything, do we?"
(@THE CREATOR of course you can join, just follow the rules: only control your own character, and only sparse and mild swearing allowed.)
"Umm… Nothing, just nevermind."
She pointed to the names on the screen, "No, hang on… wait a goddamn second, I know those names! These guys went MIA on an operation that took place 2 months ago. So the Ivy League have been nabbing people from all over. And if these people are being sold off, then…"
Alaria hung her head, the expression on her face pained.
(Never mind, her can still be there since you guys haven't moved or anything, where did they set the disk so he can spot it and ask about it?)
(It's on the desk next to the computer)
(okay cool) Jay tore his eyes from the screen to look back at Lucia, when he looked over her shoulder on the desk, where he saw a metal disk on the desk. His brows furled."Where did you get that?" he shifted his eyes to all of them, before settling on it again. "You didn't use it on your computer, did you?" he looked at them seriously.
"Um, no, not yet. We found it on the waiter at the cafe." Lucia told Jay.
He thought back to the cafe, thinking hard. "But.. when I was at the cafe it was trashed already. So the cafe was fine just a couple hours before? The disc has some sort of information, but why did everything turn south?" He tapped his head, rubbed his face, and then became frustrated, tugging a bit at his hair in frustration. "The only thing I can think of is security breach.. and now you have the information." He pointed at the disc.
Alaria lifted her head and cut in, "We also have one of them. Argent Summer, my squad, got a hold of him after Lucia nearly burned him to death… If we need to, we can stop by the base and go to him for answers."
She balled her fists, "Whatever we decide to do, let's do it now. I'm itchin' to shoot something."
Patagonia stared at her friend Jay, surprised he'd been able to come to such a conclusion so quickly. She didn't ask him though, trusting him to be loyal.
Jay caught Patagonia's gaze. "The Ivy League is large. There's no way to get information to the rest of the group without using something like this." He picked up the disc. "The Brass Monkey's have been watching, as well as a couple other.. small groups." He scrutinized the thing, "It's like, a type of padlock. This isn't a date. It's a combination. But they all are opened a different way, and viewed through different methods. We've been attempting to intercept."
