Sis: Al, come on, answer me
Mom: Leave your father and me alone, there's nothing you can do now
Bro: wtf, Al. Since when were you like this?
Dad: Stop contacting your mother, I told you to stay away from this family
Antoine set the phone down. He shouldn't be reading this. He… He had no right.
Alistair finally left the bathroom, stopping by his bedroom to change into sweats and a t-shirt.
"Hey, Tony, would you like something to sleep in?" he called out his door.
Toni jumps a little, scurrying back to the kitchen. "It's okay! I grabbed a few things from home!" He calls in reply.
"Okay!" Alistair came back into the kitchen and checked on the pasta. "Looks like it's ready!" he proclaimed. "Do you prefer the sauce mixed in, or put on top?"
"Either is fine." He says softly, glancing at the other. "So… I was wondering… I don't exactly have a family to spend Christmas with, and I was wondering if you'd like to… I mean, I understand if you wanna spend it with your family… But…" He looks away, clearning his throat.
As Alistair pours the sauce and meatballs onto the spaghetti, he looks up in surprise. "Wait, you want me to celebrate Christmas with you?" he asked in confusion. "I mean, I'd love to, but why would you want to celebrate with me?"
Antoine smiles. "As much as I like spending Christmas with my dog, I'd enjoy actual human company." He says, laughing softly. "You're the first friend I've had in years…" He says, looking down awkwardly.
Alistair smiled, overwhelmingly happy, though he wouldn't tell Tony why. "Thank you, Tony, I'm happy to be your friend and I would gladly spend Christmas with you."
Antoine smiles softly. "Thank you." He says quietly.
"This makes me want to listen to Christmas music," Alistair said, grinning. "I'm going to grab my phone really quick."
(I've got to go to bed, see you tomorrow!)
Antoine hesitates as he says that but nods, watching the other go. His eyes grow sad. Hi family… Was harsh. To say the least. He made a silent promise to become Alistairs family.
Picking up his phone, Alistair starts to go to Spotify, but can't help checking his messages again. Rubbing a hand over his face, he sighed. He shouldn't be surprised, but that didn't stop it from hurting. Putting on a smile, he returned to the kitchen.
(hi)
(OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY)
Antoine sighs softly, humming as quietly as possible, so the other didn't hear. He didn't like people hearing him sing, but humming comforted him when he was stressed. He wasn't sure how he could comfort the other. But he wanted to be there. He knew what it was like to be hated against.
(lol it's fine. I only cried a tiny bit)
Right before he reentered the kitchen, Alistair stopped. He heard a soft humming and knew it must be Tony. Well, that or Glitch was a very special dog. Padding into the kitchen he smiled at Tony. "You have a lovely voice," he said.
Antoine starts, then smiles nervously at the other. "Oh, thank you." He says softly, humming a little bit. He relaxes and chuckles a little. Glitch barks and paws at Alistair's leg, whimpering a little.
"Aww, hey there, little mate!" Alistair cooed, kneeling down and petting Glitch.
Glitch barks happily, licking his hand. He places his paws on Alistairs chest and barks again, licking his chin. Antoine smiles softly at the sight.
Alistair laughs as Glitch licks him. "Hey- hey, stop, that tickles!" he giggled, a small snort escaping him.
Glithc barks, hopping down and spinning in a circle. He begins to chase his tail, barking at it. "Get it, Glitch. Get it!" Antoine chuckles, watching the small dog.
Alistair giggles as he watched the adorable little dog. "He is by far one of the cutest things I've ever seen," he said, looking up at Tony with a smile.
Antoine smiles and nods, "He is pretty cute, huh?" Glitch barks again, wagging his extremely fluffy tail.
