The snow bit into Antoine's skin as he pulled the scarf over his face. His lashes are white with snow, his hair frozen as he marches through the snow storm. It was so cold, the ice biting mercilessly into the male's skin. A string of curses leave his mouth as he travels, his footprints being washed away by the snow.
Alistair pulled his hoodie up further and ducked his head against the bitter wind. He shivered violently, cursing himself for not wearing thicker clothes. As he got to the intersection a few blocks away from his apartment, he looked both ways and, not seeing any vehicles, began to cross the snow-blurred street. As he pushed against the onslaught of snow and sleet, he didn't notice the headlights headed straight for him.
Antoine came to the intersection, his gaze shooting back and forth before he started walking. That was… Until he saw the car. He saw a person walking and the car was headed right for him. Antoine's eyes narrowed and he rushed forward, tackling the person and throwing the other in the snow. He was suddenly flying forward. When he looked up, he saw he was bleeding heavily, staining the snow crimson. He didn't feel any pain though.
Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. That's all Alistair could think as he got up and stumbled over to the person who had tackled him out of the way of the car, and was now lying against the curb. He saw blood seeping from the man's side where he had been hit, and his right arm looked to be at a wrong angle.
Alistair whipped out his phone and dialed 911. "Hello? Yes, a guy just got hit by a car on… 61st and Smith. No, I don't know him. Yes, he's losing blood, possibly a broken rib, and his right arms appears broken. Yes, I'll stay with him. Please, hurry." When he hung up, he knelt down by the man.
"I'm so, so sorry," he said, tearing up a bit. "Thank you for saving me. This is probably going to hurt, but I need to move you a bit, so you're completely off the street."
Antoine grunts, already somewhat moving from when he got hit. When the other man walks, more like runs towards him, he raises a brow. He knew he needed attention for his wound, but… since he couldn't feel anything wrong, he wasn't sure how bad the wounds were. "I'm fine." He says, "I appreciate your concern, but I don't feel any pain." Antoine sighs softly, slowly sitting up. "It's no problem. I guess it was the right time and right place. I didn't hurt you at all when I threw you?" He asks, glancing around as a crowd starts to form.
Alistair shakes his head, brow creased in concern. His hoodie had fallen back, and snow was catching in his hair.
"I may have some bruises in the morning, but I'm perfectly fine other than that," he replied, taking the man's arm and guiding him to the sidewalk. "And even if you can't feel it, you probably have a broken rib or two, and that could cause various other things internally, so I'm definitely going to worry about you anyway."
