"Wonderful." Antoine answers, humming a little under his breath as he does so.
"Wonderful." Antoine answers, humming a little under his breath as he does so.
"That's good because the only other things I have are ramen, peanut butter, and cereal," Alistair said as he opened the cabinets, getting out ingredients. After putting a pot of water on the stove to boil and putting the sauce and meatballs in another pan, he leaned against the counter and sighed. "This has been one of the most exciting days I've had in the last year."
Antoine nods, "Pretty much the same here. It's rare for me to eat." He watches the other before leaning back in the chair. "Indeed it has." He agrees quietly, chuckling softly.
"My day had been worse until I had met you, so I'm glad I did," Alistair said, then cringed. "Sorry, the circumstances for that weren't too great, either."
Antoine raises a light eyebrow. "How could something be worse than almost being hit by a car?" He asks curiously.
"Well, to be honest, I was praying for a car to hit me, but in the end, I'm glad it didn't," Alistair replied, avoiding the question. "Though I'm sorry it hit you."
Antoine looks towards him, setting a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry." He didn't know what was wrong, but he didn't want to hurt Alistair.
Alistair smiled and shook his head. "Don't worry about it," he said. "Everything's gonna work out fine."
Antoine smiles softly at the other. Despite not feeling physical pain, he knew a lot of mental pain. He was a freak after all. At least, that's what he was always told. He wasn't sure what the other was going through, but he wanted to help.
Alistair's day had been truly terrible in all honesty, but he didn't want to dump that on Tony, so he mentally tried to shrug it off. He went over to the pot of boiling water and poured the spaghetti in. Then he stirred the sauce a bit before returning to his spot on the counter.
"Too bad Stormfly's at the vet, you'd probably like her," he said.
"Your dog, right? Oh… crap… Glitch…" He sighs softly. His poor Japanese spitz is probably whining at the door and pacing.
"Oh no, your dog!" Alistair exclaimed. "Do you want me to go get them for you?"
Antoine chuckles, "Glitch attacks someone at the door he doesn't know. I should go with you if we go to get him." He says, shaking his head.
Alistair nodded and glanced out the window. "Looks like the snow's died down a bit, so we should get going while we can," he said. "We can take my car."
Antoine nods, "Sounds good." He straightens and hums.
They go down the elevator and head to the side street where Alistair parked his car. Once they got in, Alistair turned to Tony and asked, "Can you give me directions, or should you put it in on my phone?"
Antoine nods, "1554 Winchester street." He says simply. He bites his lip. His home was a fairly big home. As a successful writer, he could go big, but he didn't feel like doing something like that. He was comfortable with a fairly modern looking home.
(I dunno. I just named a random street… I wonder if theres actually a house there…)
(I'm gonna look it up on google maps)
Oh wow… It really is a home. Whoops//
(XD)
Alistair drives through the empty, snow-covered streets. It doesn't take long to get to Tony's home. "Nice place," Alistair comments as they pull up. "I like the landscaping."
"Thanks." he says, humming softly as he slowly gets out of the car. He fumbles for his keys before entering the house. Glitch barks loudly and he easily picks up the small, Japanese Spitz up. "Hey boy." He says, nuzzling the dog.
Alistair waited in the car for Tony to get Glitch. Looking out the window, he watched the light snowfall and wondered how a car crash and a hospital visit had somehow made his day better.
Antoine returns to the car with the dog tucked into the jacket. He laughs softly. "Alistair, this is Glitch." He says as he enters the car.
