"My little brothers are still in Acidrain! I can't believe I left them by themselves!"
"My little brothers are still in Acidrain! I can't believe I left them by themselves!"
"Oh. Now then, let's go." He transmutes a note and slaps it on the bed. He reaches out, grabbing her shoulder, and the background turns white. Within moments they are in the alleyways of Acidrain again.
"Thank-you. Thank you so much." Allura says to Bennet. "Thanks for teaching me that magic as well. I hope we meet again!"
Allura then runs off down the alleyway to the tiny flat where she, Tom and Richard lived.
Lucy walked into what looked like the kitchen area, looking in the cabinets for something to eat.
Bennett teleports to her. "I have something to give you!" He says, handing her a small ring. "Break this, and it'll transport you straight to me, space, time, dimensions, anywhere."
"Thanks." Allura said gratefully.
With that, he teleports back to the dimension that his friends are currently in
Lucy eventually found and made a pot of coffee. She pushed up to sit on a counter top, her legs dangling. She left coffee for the other and held onto her own cup, sipping it slowly.
Bennett walked in the kitchen, he waved to Lucy as he did so.
Lucy waved back, smiling. “Sleep well? I made coffee, if you want any.” She nudged up her glasses and set her coffee mug down.
Maroon woke up and immediately knew something was wrong. Evan. He grabbed his phone and called the hospital, praying it was just a stupid feeling.
"Hello?" the phone crackled to life as an elderly woman answered the phone.
Maroon practically jumped 3 feet into the air from shock, "Is Evan there?"
"Evan?"
"Patient 6, room 23."
"Right. Lemme check."
Maroon waited for the elevator music to stop and then the woman spoke again.
"Yes, patient 6 is fine, he's eating some pudding. Would you like to speak to him?"
"Oh, no. It's okay. Bye." Maroon hung up, relief running through his veins. Evan is okay.
"I'm fine, thank you." Bennett declines. "So what do you wanna do now?" He asks.
Lucy finished the last bit of her coffee and hopped off the counter. “Well, what else is there to do in this dimension?” She had never felt better in a certain place. The only other place she remembered feeling this comfortable was back home, under a willow tree in a certain patch of woods.
"The wildlife is fun to observe." He said, "But if you guys want to go, we can go."
Lucy nodded slowly. “Sounds wonderful, but we should make sure the others are okay with that. I don’t know how exciting nature is to them,” she said.
"I was thinking the same thing." He said. "Shall we go find them?"
“Mhm!” Lucy stood straighter, then left the kitchen with Bennett to find them.
"I would usually apport them here, but that would be too outta pocket." Bennett says.
“You have the abilities, though. Why not use them to make things easier?” Lucy questioned, eyes on a piece of artwork that is hung in the hallway.
"I didn't come to Earth, to solve problems, I came to scope things out, to be at least close to mortal." He says, gently. "Hold onto me, we're going to make the jump to Maroon." He finishes.
“Oh..” Lucy said softly. She was hesitant, remembering how crowded his aura felt, but wrapped her arms around him. She took a shuddering breath, doing her best to block out the noise in her mind.
The landscape changed instantly around them, to where Maroon was.
"C'mon, we're going." Bennett said.
Maroon jumped back, "Holy shit, dude!"
Lucy let go and blinked a few times to adjust her vision, as she felt slightly dizzy.
"Sorry." Bennett apologized, we're going to find our comrades. So grab onto me."
