Allura shook her head, trying to clear the blurry feeling that had accompanied the teleportation.
Allura shook her head, trying to clear the blurry feeling that had accompanied the teleportation.
"Are you okay?" Bennett says, steadying her. Apparently humans couldn't handle the teleportation, although Maroon was holding up wonderfully.
"Er, I don't really know that much magic." Robin commented awkwardly. "I just talk to animals. Hence the bird." He gestured towards Orchid, who chirped curtly. "Orchid, that's rude."
"Very well."
Maroon sat down, bored and tired from walking so much. "I'm not used to this," he complained.
"Get some rest, if you like." Bennett said.
Maroon grunted and lied down on the floor, pulling out his phone to monitor his heart rate.
"I'm fine," Allura said, putting her hand on the gun at her hip to reassure herself. She hadn;t been without it since she started as a spy more than 5 years ago.
Odette greeted the old man politely, "I'm interested in echolocation magic if you happen to have anything on it..?" he turned and smiled knowingly at her, "of course I do, everyone-" he called to the group, "this way, please."
Robin followed silently, since Orchid had fallen asleep and he didn't want to wake her.
"Master Benedict, do you wish to teach them?" Acheris inquired.
"I'll try, but the kind of magic I have, isn't very learnable." Bennett answered.
Lucy smiled politely, listening to the man as he spoke and holding the spell book close to her chest. She stuck with the group and looked toward Bennett when he was mentioned. ‘He’s expected to show us things?’ She thought.
"Master Benedict is excellent at teaching basic magic, otherwise, well…" His voice trailed off.
Lucy laughed softly and nodded slowly. “We all can’t be perfect at everything.”
Maroon closed his eyes, "Physical exertion tires me." and fell asleep.
"True." He says to Lucy, smiling. Alright, who's first.
Allura didn't plead to be first, trying to regain a scrap of dignity after her less than graceful entrance into the group. But in her mind, she was thinking "please, please, please."
Bennett waited for a volunteer.
Odette, though wanting to learn, wasn't comfortable in doing so in front of everyone else. She stepped back, hoping that he would choose someone else, perhaps Allura or something.
Nobody seemed to be volunteering themselves, so Allura put her hand up. "I'll try.." she said, a little doubtfully.
"Excellent, Allura, you can do this." Bennett says. He steps up to her, and materializes a spellbook, giving it to her, he instructs. "Read this passage, simply tell me when you're done. We'll continue from there."
Allura quickly read the passage. "Done." she said, a little apprehensive about what was going to happen next.
"Now stretch out your arm, and make a hand sign like this…" He instructs, doing so, and aiming at the small fire pit in the middle of the hut.
Allura stretched out her arm, trying to imitate the exact shape of Bennet's hand. When she deemed it as good as it was gonna get, she pointed it at the fire pit in the centre.
Odette watched on, wondering what was going to happen now that Bennet had shown Allura what to do.
