He chuckles, "How about this, we offer the waiter the cards and whichever they pick is the person who pays?" He tilts his head a bit at Jared.
He chuckles, "How about this, we offer the waiter the cards and whichever they pick is the person who pays?" He tilts his head a bit at Jared.
Jared frowned faintly. "Uhm…fine.x"
He smiles a little bit, "That way it's fair." He glanced at Jared for a moment before turning his attention back to the road.
He shrugged faintly. "Yeah, I guess. Gotta remember to get you a company card to make these kinds of charged on, though."
He raised a brow, "What do you mean?" He tilts his head a little bit as he turned into a burger joint. "Do you want to go in or go through the fast food line?"
"I mean, uhm, you work for us, so a company credit card to make business related charges on. Like this. You're my bodyguard, I wanted burgers, which makes this a business related charge that you shouldn't be paying for."
"Yes, but I also want to eat, thus it shouldn't be considered a business charge since we are both eating." He chuckles a bit and leans into his chair. He offers a gentle smile to Jared. "It's nothing to worry about. It's just burgers."
"No, it was my idea, so it's a business charge. And besides, if this happens too often it's…it's a lot of money and the business should be shouldering that."
"Even if it was your idea, Jared, I insist it's not a business charge. And even if it does happen "too often" it's fine. I'm in a spot right now where I'm not necessarily worried about it." He shrugged and smiled softly at the other. "So let me pay, hm?"
"No, but you should still have a company card. All this gas for driving me around can be expensive and I don't want to be a drain on your resources, even if you are being paid you're supposed to be reimbursed for these kinds of expenses."
He glanced at Jared again, gently setting his hand on Jared's shoulder. "I promise you, you're not a drain on my resources." He chuckles softly. "I promise Jared, it's fine." Victor runs a hand through his hair before stretching. "With that being said, shall we head in? Or do you just want to go through the drive through and go home?"
"You're not listening, you're supposed to have a company card for this. I don't care if it's not a drain, you still shouldn't be paying out of pocket for all of this." He shook his head a little bit.
"I don't mind, really Jared." He sighed deeply and smiled gently. "Consider it my treat." He replies simply. He turns to face Jared, his eyes soft. "Why are you so concerned about it, if I may ask?"
He frowned faintly. "Because it's…it's company policy. And…I've been staying at your house and eating your food and using your car, and you've got to be paid back for all of that somehow, it's unfair if I don't."
"Or perhaps I'm allowing you to stay as a friend and a guest. It's not unfair, it's by my will." He smiles gently. "I promise it's alright Jared. You don't need to worry about it. I promise." He smiles softly.
"No, but you're my bodyguard." He frowned a little bit. "It's… different."
He paused at that, nodding faintly. He supposed that was true. "I truly don't mind, Jared." He murmured softly. "I'm not worried about it." He offers a gentle smile.
He frowned again. "But it…I don't know." He said quietly.
He hummed and smiled. "Don't know?" His gaze was assuring. He ran a hand through his hair and waited patiently.
He shook his head faintly.
He smiled softly, "Maybe some food would help clear your mind a little?" He tilts his head to the side.
"I guess. Still have to get you a company card, though."
He chuckles softly, "Alright. But for now we'll just enjoy ourselves and relax, alright?" He murmured gently.
"Fine." He let out a faint sigh, running a hand through his hair.
He chuckled and smiles softly. "Alrighty then. Fast food or go inside?" He tilts his head a little bit.
