He bit his lip a little. "Oh– no, it's…it's nothing."
He bit his lip a little. "Oh– no, it's…it's nothing."
He nods a little. "If you say so." He paused and ran a hand through his hair.
He glanced up at Victor for a moment, then away again.
He cleared his throat, glancing around the room and trying to figure out what he was going to do.
He leaned his cheek against his shoulder. "There's a…a party tonight that I've got to go to. I can't remember if I told you already or not."
"You didn't alert me…" He murmured softly. He paused when the other leaned against him but didn't argue against him. "Would you like me to come with you? It's my job to protect you. However my moves are your call."
(skshdgdd I meant that Jared leaned his cheek against his own shoulder but this works too)
"Sorry." He said softly. "I… should get some sort of shared calendar set up so you know ahead of time. And, uhm…yeah. Please." He didn't admit that he felt safer when Victor was around.
He smiled gently and nods slowly. "I think that would be a good idea. And I'll come with you then." He smiled a little bit, liking how close they were. "Uh… Do you want me to dress inconspicuously or like… a body guard?" He asks curiously.
He bit his lip faintly. "I…I don't know. Which do you think would be better?" He asked softly.
He hummed and smiled. "I think inconspicuous would work better." He leans back in his chair and glances at the other. "That way we're not standing out."
He nodded a little. "Alright. Uhm…there will be people who will, uhm, assume you're my date, though…so…" He fidgeted with his hands, biting his lip faintly.
He paused and tilts his head. "If you wish me to act the part I can. It's alright." He eases gently. "if you think it bothers me, I can promise it won't." He offers an assuring smile.
He looked down at his hands, a faint blush staining the tips of his ears pink. "I-I…" if he said yes, that was weird. It was really weird to say yes to that, wasn't it? But if he said no, it was also a little weird? He didn't know what to do.
He smiles gently. "If you don't want me to, it's okay. I can go and look like a body guard if you'd like me to." He says softly.
He rubbed his face with his hands, biting his lip uncertainly. "W-well…I…."
His gaze was gentle and soft, filled with nothing but concern and patience. He didn't say anything, just letting Jared go through his thought process.
He didn't look up, chewing faintly on his lip.
He sat contentedly in silence, not bothering the other or putting too much pressure.
He eventually shrugged a little. "I don't know…sorry…"
He nods slowly and smiles gently before patting his hand. "That's alright. There's nothing to worry about."
He looked up at Victor. "Okay." he said quietly.
He smiles and stands slowly. "Is there anything I can do? Or shall we figure things out as we go?"
He shrugged a little bit. "I don't know. I'm sorry." he said softly. "I'm just…a little anxious or…or something, I guess…"
He nods. "it's okay, I promise. Your anxiety is natural." He replies gently, placing a hand on Jared's shoulder.
He looked up at Victor again, brown eyes cautious and unsure.
