Asa looked up at Ashera, nodding a little.
"I believe you. It doesn't make sense to do all of this just to turn me in."
Asa looked up at Ashera, nodding a little.
"I believe you. It doesn't make sense to do all of this just to turn me in."
Ashera giggled a little. ”Yeah. Call me funny, but I have an issue with going against my friends.” she smiled, kissing the top of her head. ”I’m a very loyal Fae.”
Asa smiled, loving the kiss and affection.
"I'm glad you are. Not all are like that."
Ashera nodded. ”Yeah… There are a few you shouldn't trust. But as long as you stick with me, I’ll keep you safe.” she promised. ”No human or ill-meaning ”mythic” will harm you.”
Asa looked up at Ashera, smiling.
"I believe you," she said earnestly. She snuggled down, looking so happy to finally be safe.
Ashera smiled brightly at Asa and hugged her, so glad that everything had worked out between them and that they had become real friends so quickly.
Asa snuggled into the hug, returning it eagerly.
"Thank you so much," she mumbled, grinning.
”What are you thanking me for?” Ashera asked, giggling lightly. She had an idea of what it was for… but it didn't really feel like she had done too much. She was just being herself and, apparently, much more understanding than anyone else had been with the young halfling.
"For actually being nice," Asa said simply.
"So many claim to be, but when it comes down to it they wouldn't hesitate to turn me in."
Ashera nodded and nuzzled her friend. ”You’re welcome.” she said softly. ”With few exceptions, I try to treat everyone fairly but I think you deserve it more.”
Asa grinned, eyes closed. She pressed her head lightly against Ashera's, humming a little.
"You're one of the rare few then."
Ashera found herself blushing at that. Why… She wasn't really sure. ”That’s sweet of you to say.”
Asa giggled a little, nudging Ashera's blush.
"Cute," she said simply, grinning.
Ashera giggled at the poke, her blush turning a brighter shade. ”You’re one to talk.” she teased, playfully as she lightly bopped Asa’s nose.
"Oh, I know I'm cute," Asa said, striking a little pose. Mostly to hide her own blush.
hi does anybody want to be my penpal? lol this is random im just kinda desperate
Ashera couldn't help but laugh at Asa posing. ”Adorable is what you are.” she smiled, her petting turning into an attempt to tickle the little Dragon.
Asa started to giggle at the tickling, squirming around in a half attempt to get away.
With Asa being in her smaller Dragon form, it was easier for Ashera to hold her down and continue tickling her. ”I didn't know Dragons were ticklish…” she giggled. ”Are you more so… Here?” she asked moving her fingers to the underside of her wings.
Asa had just been giggling before, but when Ashera went for the underside of her wings she burst out laughing.
"Ah, ah!" She managed to get out, smiling.
Ashera laughed and continued to tickle her. ”Baby scales are softer here, aren't they?” she teased before letting up her attack. ”I’ve always wondered at what age they get stronger.”
Asa nodded to the question, smiling.
"My mom said it was around fifty when they got as strong as they're famous for."
Ashera gave a soft hum at her answer. ”I’d imagine they get tougher in stages, right? I mean, when you grow, you molt your scales and the next set are stronger than the last?” she asked. Ashera knew a bit about Dragons but never had the chance to talk to one before… Especially not like this.
"Sounds about right. When I was younger, my scales were as soft as human skin. I've only molted one or two times, though." Asa curled up on Ashera's lap again, happy to be able to answer Ashera's questions.
”How often do you actually shed your scales?” she asked curiously before shaking her head a little. ”I apologize if I'm asking you too many questions or if any of them are personal. You don't have to answer all of them. I won't be offended.” Ashera said kindly.
