Ashera covered her mouth to hide her smile and keep from laughing at Asa’s table manners. It made sense, since she probably spent most of her life as a Dragon, that she didn't know how to use forks and spoons. She wasn't going to judge though… in a way it was kind of cute.
Asa grinned, setting the hall of empty bowl down as she finished chewing. She had a little mustache of the food, but she looked happy.
"It's delicious!" She said happily.
Ashera cleared her throat lightly to hide a giggle. ”I-… I’m glad you like it.” she smiled back, picking up a napkin. ”Here. You… uh… you have a little on your…” she trailed off as she tried to hold back more laughter.
"Ah-oh," Asa says, giggling a little. She used a napkin to wipe her face off. At least she knew how to do that. "How silly of me!"
”Silly but a little cute too.” Ashera nodded with a very faint blush before she started eater her salad.
Asa blushed as well, turning back to her soup.
"If you say so," she said in good nature. She smiled again, taking a smaller sip and keeping from getting it on her face again.
”Well, you know I can't lie.” the blonde pointed out, watching her eat with a small smile. ”Not directly.”
"True," Asa said, looking over at Ashera. She grinned, little fangs poking out.
"But it's also true the truth you speak is often formed from your opinion."
Ashera laughed lightly. ”But that fact doesn't discredit my earlier statement.” she smirked. ”You’re still cute.”
"Must be the baby in me," Asa retired, laughing to show she had no ill will. "I'm still a youngling, after all."
”Perhaps.” Ashera agreed with a brief nod. ”But who isn't considered young by a full-grown Dragon?” she smiled, knowing even she, most likely, wouldn't be considered more than a teenager.
"Yes, but unlike you I actually am one. Well, partially anyway." Asa grinned, flicking her tail a little too prove her point.
Ashera chuckled a little and reached up to pet the back of Asa’s head. ”But you’re much smarter.”
Asa hummed a little at the head pets, smiling.
"I suppose so," she mumbled, enjoying the affection.
Ashera giggled a little at how cute Asa was when she was being petted. ”You are.” she assured her.
Asa mumbled something in agreement, leaning into Ashera's hand.
"… Feels good," she mumbled quietly.
”I can tell.” Ashera smiled before slowly lowering her hand. ”You really don't mind it?” she asked. It felt a little strange to be doing that to someone like Asa… Maybe it was just while she was in human form that made her feel that way… but she wasn't going to make her change if she didn't want to.
Asa opened her eyes, unable to help a little pout.
"Not at all! I really enjoy it." Asa thought a moment.
"Are you okay with it?"
Ashera giggled at the pout. ”If you like it so much, I don't mind.” she shrugged casually. ”Though there is something a little… strange about petting another person. If you want I still can.” she added quickly.
"That's be nice," Asa admitted. She thought a moment, then shifted onto her dragon form.
"But if this makes you more comfortable I don't mind. I'm still me, after all"
”I don't mind which form you take, my friend.” Ashera smiled before gently lifting her up to her lap and started to pet her again. ”I know you only change in appearance.”
Asa hummed again, practically melting into the petting.
"That's true of how I was acting before, you know. It might have been a bit exaggerated, but I didn't do anything I normally wouldn't."
”Really? Well, that makes sense.” Ashera smiled as she scratched between Asa’s wings. ”Even in hiding, you didn't change your personality.”
Asa sighed happily, resting her head on her paws.
"It made things easier, not having to think of every little thing." Asa went quiet for a moment, then went back to being happy.
"But now I don't have to hide anything with you, and that's amazing."
Ashera nodded thoughtfully when Asa went quiet but smiled at her last comment. ”I’m sure it does.” she chuckled a little. ”Thank you for trusting me with your secret. I promise you're safe here.”
