She laughed softly. “Of course not. There’s one side that’s dry and I usually don’t layer until the bottom one is dry.”
She laughed softly. “Of course not. There’s one side that’s dry and I usually don’t layer until the bottom one is dry.”
He chuckled. "Alright." The waiter came back and handed Asher the copy of the check, and the credit card. Asher thanked him. The waiter nodded, and left. Asher had already tipped, so he looked at Arabella. "Ready to go?" He asked.
(Sorry, dinner)
She nodded gently. “Yes! Of course!” She smiled happily and giggled softly.
(it's fine)
Asher smiled, and stood, helping her up. "Good." he looked down at her. His black hair was messy now, not combed neatly as she had this morning.
Arabella laughed softly, reaching up to touch his hair. “Oh dear… your hair is a mess again!”
Asher grinned. "Oh, good." He replied, leading her out of the restaurant and to the car, unlocking it.
She huffed slightly but the amusement was apparent in the twinkle in her eyes. “I can’t believe you messed it up that quickly!”
He laughed, and tugged lightly on a strand of her hair. "What? You can't? I can." He replied, opening the door of the car for her.
She giggled like a schoolgirl and stuck her tongue out. “I can keep my hair nice and neat. It’s not too hard.”
"Yeah, but you're hair is longer!" He replied. "Now get in the car, so we can leave!" He chuckled softly.
She laughed softly and nodded. “It is longer.” She ran her fingers through her hair and climbed into the passenger seat. “Alright alright.”
Asher smiled, and closed her door. He walked to the other side, got in, and started the car. "Ready?"
“Of course!” Came the soft reply. Arabella had already buckled herself in. “To home?”
Asher smiled, starting the car. "Yeah." He replied, driving away from the restaurant. "When we get home, do you want to visit the neighbor, or your painting room first?" He asked, glancing at her for a moment, then back at the road.
Arabella hesitated to answer. “Do you have work you need done? If not I wouldn’t mind visiting the neighbor now.”
Asher shrugged. "It's up to you. It's just emails." He replied with a small smile.
“I know I know. But I don’t want you getting fired or yelled at.” She murmured, placing her hands in her lap
Asher laughed. "My father may not like me very much sometimes, but he wouldn't fire me from his own company." He replied, shaking his head a little.
She nodded gently and tapped her fingers together. “Then can we go and visit the neighbor?”
He nodded. "Yeah, sure. Like I said earlier, she's a sweet older woman. Loves company." She loved it when Peri and I visited…
“I can’t wait to meet her.” She murmured, smiling happily as she stared out the window.
"Mhm." Asher agreed as he drove. "She'll tell you stories about anything and everything she's ever seen. You just have to ask." he said with a soft laugh.
“What has she seen?” Asked the curious female, her eyes wide. “What sorts of things?”
"Well, she's old. So…history." he replied with a soft laugh. "I don't know. Anything and everything you can think of."
"Has she been to other places?" Her eyes widened considerably more. "Could she tell me about other places?! I've only ever been out of this town once or twice and even then it was for buisness purposes."
