Corbin’s head snapped up, and immediatly trained the rifle on the creature. The thin, red aiming light shot through the darkness, the red dot right on the creatures chest. “You’re the creature Matrix mentioned?” He asked, still aiming the weapon at it.
"Furfur. Yes. Acting as a bodyguard. " he shrugs. His ears where pinned back
Matrix snarls at the red, mangled mass of limbs and whatnot in front of him.
Corbin clenched his jaw tightly. Orion’s ears were pinned as well, but in a hostile way. He slowly lowered the rifle.
"Yeah… That's right… Just calm down." Furfur sighs, "It doesnt take long. Matrix'll be back in a while."
Corbin let out a sharp huff. “I should have stayed,” he said.
"No. You shouldn't have." Furfur trots past them and up to the alter of the church, "You're brave to fall for someone like that though. I'm impressed."
Corbin frowned at that. “How do you know about that?” He asked.
"Ha! Dude! I'm Matrix's friend. He told me. And that is also why I volunteered to be your bodyguard." Furfur sighs.
Matrix yells at the weird mass in a completely different voice and language
Corbin frowned. “He shouldn’t have told anyone,” he mumbled. He shifted his jacket to cover one of the marks on his neck.
Furfur raises his brow at the move, "Why not?"
“It’s dangerous, that’s why,” Corbin said. “If anyone knows, mainly humans, we’ll both be killed.”
"I'm a demon! Sort of. To a point."–Furfur
“Still, that could be worse,” Corbin huffed, looking down at his rifle.
"Hey. I didn't have to come and make sure you are protected. I'm doing this for a friend and I support his decisions." Furfur snarls. He shakes his head, "You're human. You don't understand the severity of the situation."
Matrix had grown in size. His feet growing into animalesc hooves. He looked otherworldly, worse then before in his transformations.
Corbin shot him a look. “It doesn’t matter. I should be helping Matrix,” he snapped. “Not here in some goddamn church.”
"No." Furfur snaps and at the same time the windows and doors of the church burst into flame
Corbin’s eyes widened at that. He jerked to his feet, weapon in hand as Orion gave a bark.
Furfur raises a brow, "oh…"
Matrix snarls, gold tinted blood glistens at the corners of his mouth
“What’s going on?” Corbin asked sharply. He felt something tense up inside him at that, and Orion nudged his hand. Fire scorching his back.
"I'm making sure you dont leave. I owe Matrix. For what he has done for me. I can't let you go out there." Furfur snarls
Corbin breathed a bit heavily. He shook his head and walked to the other side of the church.
Furfur snapped and the fire is extinguished, "Hurry up Matrix. How do you deal with humans?"
(Hey, sorry I haven’t responded. I’ve been very busy and a lil stressed so I haven’t really gotten to most of my replies)
Corbin sank down in a far pew. He tilted his head into his hands for a moment.
(It's perfectly fine! Dont worry! I hope you're ok)
Furfur shakes his deer head and snarls at the cross on the wall of the church.
Matrix was on the ground a short crater
(Also it feels like this scene is awkward and rushed…But… that's just me.)
