Matrix looks up from the floor. his nose had smashed into the concrete and had started to bleed. his sits up and crosses his legs while plugging his nose and leaning his head back, "You're welcome."
Corbin stayed silent, looking down at his leg, which wasn’t bleeding as much now. “Why did you do that?” He asked in a low, hesitant tone. Orion nudged Corbin’s hand, and reached up to give the dog a quick pet.
"Lets just say not all demons are the stereo type. Not all of us are evil. We just look it" He leans his head forward again and drops his bloody hand. His nose drips sickeningly onto the floor between his legs
Corbin gave the demon a sharp look before looking around at the shelf that his back was pressed up against. He grabbed onto it, giving a pained grunt as he slowly pulled himself up. He was a Seal, he could handle a bit of pain. He grabbed a first aid kit, then sank back down to the floor gingerly.
Matrix makes a move to help the human but thought better of it. He sank back down to a squatting position, his arms resting on his knees. He stayed silent.
Corbin opened the kit, taking out a bottle of pain pills, a wad of gauze, and some bandages. He was about to try and start on himself, when he glanced up to look at the demon. His eyes squinted at its bleeding nose, and he tossed a bit of the gauze over to the demon before dabbing at his own wound.
Matrix lurches slightly at the throw. He wheels backward and falls, "What the heck?!" He snatches up the gauze but just stares at it, his fangs bared. After a minute or two his face softens and he sighs. He crumples the gauze slightly and starts dabbing at the blood. A few drops land in his mouth and he shudders slightly
Corbin continued to dab at the small cut on the back of his upper calf, thinking that it shouldn’t need stitches. He pressed fresh gauze to it before wrapping bandages around his leg tightly and keeping it in place with a bit of bandaging tape.
Matrix leans back, his legs outstretched in front of him. He had stuffed the gauze into his nose to stop the bleeding and had torn the rest off, "It's too deep for just gauze."
Corbin glanced up at the demon with a heavy gaze. “Where at?” He asked, opening the bottle of pills and popping one into his mouth, swallowing it dry.
Matrix motions toward the humans knee, "That. Im not asking what happened. Im trying to help." His eyes narrow as his nose keeps bleeding into his mouth and fangs.
“It’ll work until I can get proper medical attention,” Corbin responded. He clicked his tongue to get Orion’s attention. “Get my crutch, Orion,” he said, knowing well that the dog knew the command. Orion stood up from where he was laying and bounded off up the stairs.
Matrix watches the dog leaves. He sighs and shrugs, "Just tryna help, man."
“Yeah right,” Corbin scoffed softly. He waited, and a minute or so later, Orion came back, half carrying and half dragging the crutch down the stairs. “Good boy,” he praised quietly, scratching behind Orion’s ears. He used the crutch to help him stand slowly, cursing as pain shot up the back of his leg.
Matrix jumps to his feet, instinctively grabbing the human's arm to help him to his feet.
Corbin flinched away, his breath catching in his throat when the demon touched him. He couldn’t help the fear that shot through his nerves, getting caught in his lungs. Orion gave a whine, looking up at Corbin.
Matrix lets go as if he had been burned when the human flinched. He could sense his fear.
“Just clean yourself up, you can use the gauze and pain pills,” Corbin said after composing himself for the moment. He began to make his way over to the stairs, Orion going ahead and up the stairs.
Matrix snarls slightly, shakes his head but bends down and picks up the first aid. instinctively he starts to sort it out. He wipes the blood from his nose and chin.
Corbin made his way up the stairs, biting sharply at his lower lip as he did so. Once he got to the top of the stairs, he shut the door, but didn’t bother locking it.
Matrix's ears twitch not hearing the usual lock sliding into place. He looks up for a brief instant but shakes his head and stands. He abandoned the first aid kit and crawls up the stairs on all fours.
Corbin didn’t really care if the demon got out. He was more concerned about his leg and mental state at the moment. If it wanted to leave, he’d damn well let it leave. He was sitting in his bedroom on the edge of his bed, the door to his room shut- this one locked. He ran a hand through his hair while taking a shuddering breath, and he covered his face with his hands, causing Orion to try and nudge away his hands.
Matrix crept through the house. He was bent double and every sound made him jump. He came to the kitchen and his eyes grow wide at the sight of food. He hadnt eaten in months.
Corbin continued to breathe heavily as he reached over to pet Orion. Orion practically was crawling into his lap, licking at his other hand. He gave the dog a meek smile, eventually calming down.
Matrix was was leaning on a door jam. He had an entire carton of ice cream in his arms and a large spoon in his mouth.
