“I know, I don’t want to do this. But it’s okay, it’s not going to hurt you. I’m not going to hurt you,” Corbin insisted, a pleading look in his eyes. He wanted Matrix to believe him.
“I know, I don’t want to do this. But it’s okay, it’s not going to hurt you. I’m not going to hurt you,” Corbin insisted, a pleading look in his eyes. He wanted Matrix to believe him.
Matrix pins his ears back but snorts slightly, "Fine. Whatever. Where did you put it?" He barks at him
Corbin sighs softly. “It’s in the basement, I’ll get it,” he said, grabbing his crutch and limping into the other room, towards the stairwell.
Matrix follows after Corbin. He stops at the doorway," You need help going down the stairs, Grandma?" He smirks
“No, I don’t,” Corbin mumbled. He left the crutch at the top of the stairs. He held onto the railing, gripping it tight as he made his way down.
Matrix leans on the railing and the wall, watching warily, "Careful, Grandma."
Corbin shot Matrix a glare. He continued to walk down the stairs, and after a moment, he got down there. He looked around for a moment before finding the collar. He made his way back upstairs, and bit at his lip for a moment. “It’s turned off, see?”
Matrix had sat down, with his legs crossed in the doorway. He snorts and hisses as his neck tingled from long ago when it was activated.
Corbin crouched down next to Matrix. He set the collar down and reached over to run his fingers through Matrix’s hair. He tilted his head, pressing a kiss to Matrix’s cheek. “Don’t worry. I promise that you won’t get hurt. I swear.”
Matrix stares at the collar unblinkingly. His feline like eyes reflecting off the light from the room behind him. He didn't react to the contact either, "C'mon. Just get it over with."
Corbin gave a sigh. Of course, Matrix was mad at him. He picked up the collar and put it on Matrix’s neck carefully.
Matrix hardly flinches at all but he doesn't moveat all once the thing was on him, "It's heavy."
“I know..” Corbin sighed. He tilted his head to rest his forehead against Matrix’s hesitantly. “I’m sorry..”
Matrix blinks and moves his head slightly. He smiles slightly up at Corbin, "I can survive…:" He stands
Corbin bit his lower lip as he slowly got to his feet. “Alright.. Get your shoes on, then we can go.”
Matrix walks quietly to the front door where he had left his, dirty and ratty shoes. He waits for Corbin with his hands in the pocket of the hoodie.
Corbin looked at Matrix’s shoes. “We can get you some shoes while we’re out too,” he said. He looked at Matrix, and gave the other another hesitant peck on the cheek before grabbing his things and walking out the door. He decided to leave Orion at home. What were the chances that he would have an attack now?
Matrix follows him out, a smile back on his face at the contact, "Be a good boy, Orion!" He calls to the dog before closing the door.
Corbin walked over to his truck and got into the drivers seat. He waited for Matrix before putting his seatbelt on and starting the truck.
Matrix dives into the passengers seat and buckles in, "So where to first?"
“We can go out to eat first, you’re probably hungry,” Corbin said as he pulled out onto the road. “Then we can get your things.”
Matrix flinches, tensing and grabbing onto the dash board, "Oh shit…"
Corbin raised his brows. “Are you okay?” He asked quickly.
"No… It's moving…" He hisses under his breath, pressing his back against seat
Corbin huffed softly and reached over to rest one of his hands on Matrix’s thigh lightly. “It’s okay, it’s supposed to. It’ll be okay,” he soothed.
