Calla put her flute to her lips, playing a soft melody. Don't scream. We are your salvation. She could see a faint red outline in her line of vision, like she always could.
Karina, suddenly hearing a bang from next door, stood to her feet and looked out the window. Calixto was probably asleep already and he was mad as it was. Braving the possibility of Corsai, she opened the door, quickly running over to the house where screams could now be heard.
Ronan had stopped playing and was watching Calla. “That’s it, quickly now,” he soothed as the family watched in horror. He heard footsteps approaching and raised his violin, ready to use the ‘weapon’ if needed.
Avi, who had just finished up feeding, heard a bang and some sobbing from a nearby house. Curious, she walked over to the fence and peered through a knothole.
Calixto was unusually not tired, he just wanted away from Karina. He heard the screaming in the distance and then the door shutting downstairs. Idiot, didn't I tell her not to go running off again? Groaning, he took the stairs two at a time, going after Karina.
Karina had made it to the house, the door wide open, she cautiously made her way up the front steps, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning around, she slapped whoever it was, thinking it was a Corsai. She had only ended up slapping her Malchai in the shoulder.
"Hello to you too. Didn't I tell you not to go lookin to kill yourself?" he hissed. Shaking him off, she looked into the open doorway to see the two Sunai and the rest of the family shivering in fear.
Ronan gleaned at the doorway, eyes widening slightly at the sight of a woman, who appeared human, and a man, who was obviously a Malchai. “Shit..” he hissed, throwing a quick glance at Calla. “Hurry, we need to go,” he murmured quickly to Calla.
"Who the hell are you…?" Karina asked, her voice shaking slightly.
Calixto, behind her, however was tempted to not let her speak and punch them both. Not to save the family of course.
She slipped over the fence, not seeing Karina and Calixto. She was mostly fascinated by tehnappareance of two other SUNAI.
Calla took the soul and started running, holding onto her flute and tripping various times, because she couldn't see where she was going.
(they're standing in the doorway, how can she not see them lol)

“If you’re smart, you won’t find out,” Ronan snapped before suddenly bolting towards the fence. He grabbed Calla, shifting her so she was on his back. But as he was climbing over the fence to make a run for it, he noticed the other woman who had appeared. His eyes widened. “Another Sunai?”
Calixto began to run off after the Sunai, when Karina called for him to stop. She wanted to tend to the family who had been shaken by the incident. Ignoring her, he kept running.
"CALIXTO, DON'T MAKE ME USE THIS!" she called after him, holding up the remote to his collar. Scowling, he turned around and walked back to her, painfully slow. He cursed himself for thinking she was at least a bit nicer than most humans. They all just wanted to use him and didn't care if he was harmed in the process. The only reason Karina likely tended to him was so that her precious slave wouldn't be an embarrassment or maybe it was something else stupid like that.
Too late, she noticed the pair standing in the doorway. Panickedly, she scrambled back to her side of the fence, to come face to face with Ronan and Calla.
//did I get these dimensions right
(Uh yeah)
Ronan felt frozen. There was another Sunai? How had he missed her? “You’re Sunai. Please, come with us,” he said quickly, throwing a threatening glare towards the Malchai who had been approaching a moment ago.
Calla held onto Ronan, tears streaming down her face. "I'm so sorry." she whispered.
"Yeah they fit fine," Lila responded.
She blinked, then looked back and nodded. “Alright. Where are we going?”
Calixto glared back at the three retreating Sunai. He tugged at his collar once again, before coming to face Karina. Not caring if he would be shocked, he slapped her.
Stumbling slightly at the impact, Karina had dropped the remote, it falling onto the button that would shock Calixto.
He had felt the collar begin to heat just before it sent electricity into his system, making him shake intensely. As soon as it stopped, he dropped to his knees in pain. She had actually done it.
(he didn't know that it fell, he assumed she pressed it before she dropped it.)
(might I mention I have a bit of an angst obsession…?)
(don't we all?)
Faye heard commotion nearby and frowned, looking out a window. “I think something is going on down the street” she said slowly.

Ronan watched as the Malchai fell, eyes wide a tad. “Monstrous humans,” he spat. Malchai weren’t his favorite creature, but seeing them in slavery made him sick. “To the South Sector, and we need to move quickly. Corsai are out,” he said pulling himself up and over the fence. Once he landed, he moved Calla so she was facing him and he held her close to try and soothe the crying girl. He darted into the street, running towards the woods.
Avi followed quickly, refusing to look back. She disliked MALCHAI as much as the next, but this kind of treatment was cruel.
