"What the-" Dax tried to stop Faye from cutting herself. Even if he didn't like humans, Faye shouldn't be hurting herself. When she handed her the paper cup full of her blood, Dax accepted it, surprised, "Uh, thanks…" he was still skeptical, but after having the bitter animal blood for most of his life, he still drank it. He had forgotten the sweet taste of human blood after his years of being a slave.

“Nothing it going to happen to you, Calla,” Ronan said softly as he continued to dab some of the blood away. Once most of the blood was cleaned from her skin, he wrapped the bandages around some of the bad scrapes, and put what looked like band-aids on the smaller ones.

@Lenered

"Nothing?" the words were like liquid gold, assuring her future. She was going to be safe here. Calla laid down on the bed, feeling a bit weak. She hadn't fed for two days.

Faye nodded as she watched him drink it. She felt slightly pleased at the good deed. “That’s me saying sorry,” she said simply, standing up and unwrapping the bandage and cleaning the cut under the running water of the sink. Once she assumed it should be fine, she cut a bandage over it, tugging down the sleeve to her sweatshirt to cover it up.

“Yes, Nothing. Not while you’re in my care. Sunai’s have to stick together, right?” Ronan said, staying crouched by the side of the bed, elbows resting on his knees.

Dax nodded. He decided to let his guard down around her a little. Faye didn't seem like the other humans, she was kind to him, but he couldn't let her guard down too much, she was still a human, after all. And he was her slave.

Faye ran a hand through her hair and looked at herself in the mirror before turning back to Dax. “Don’t tell my dad,” she said, doing her best to ignore the stinging on her wrist area. “He finds out, and we’re both dead,” she continued as she stepped out of the bathroom.

Ronan smiled softly and stayed still while Calla felt him. “It’s white, the frame is grey. But the blankets are blue and purple,” he said. He wasn’t sure if Calla had been blind since her creation. He never asked what her creation was. It was always a more touchy subject for most Sunai to talk about.

@Lenered

"White, grey, blue, purple. Colors?" Calla closed her eyes, imagining what they looked like. White, perhaps, was the color of the grass underneath her feet, soft and welcoming. Grey, sounded like the color of the sky, as far as the eye could see. Blue, reminded her of the soft fur coat of a rabbit. And purple sounded like the wind rustling through the trees. Calla knew she'd never be able to know what the colors looked like, but it was fun to guess. She knew her eyes were completely white. "What color are your eyes?"

Dax nodded again. He knew if he was found, he'd probably be next on the Execution Block. The smallest things monsters did were seen as the biggest crimes by the humans.

@Desvelarse pets

(Alright, seeyah)
Ronan’s smile grew a bit more at Calla’s peaceful expression. “My eyes? They are a lighter color blue,” he said, resting a hand on the younger Sunai’s shoulder.

“Do you know what color your eyes are?” He asked, rubbing Calla’s shoulder gently. He had grown close to her, and considered her to be something like a little sister.

Faye stepped out into the hall and glanced around hearing her dad in her kitchen. She walked quietly down the hall and to the backdoor, stepping out into the dark. She looked at the fences surrounding the backyard, lights always on at night to protect from Corsai. She walked over to the small pool in the middle of the yard, kicking her shoes off and rolling her pant legs up. She sat by the water, letting her legs slip into the water. “It wasn’t right, what happen to those Malchai,” she said, now bringing it up when she knew her father wasn’t listening.

@ShadeStar

Lila had bought (stolen) most of the goods she needed. It was getting dark so she returned to her little hideout. The Corsai were out. Her eyes glanced around, she didn't see any yet. Before her mother had passed she had given her a medallion that would protect, and she hoped it did just that. Every night she hoped, and every night it seemed to work.

Dax sighed sadly and looked down. He sat down and tucked his knees to his chest. He hated being useless and powerless, but he learned from a very young age that was how life was.

@Desvelarse pets

Faye sat in silence, looking down at the clear water. “I know you probably don’t want to talk about this with me, and I understand. If I could, I’d take that thing off and let you go,” she said softy, motioning towards the shock collar. But her dad kept the keys to those in his office in the basement, and the room was off limits to her completely.

Dax nodded, but didn't believe her. Even though she was kinder than most humans, they couldn't be trusted. His first owner had seen nice as well, but Dax had been too trusting and his eye had been gouged out and he had been cut across his face as a punishment. He shuddered at the memory.

@Desvelarse pets

Faye glanced at Dax for a moment and exhaled slowly. He obviously wasn’t going to speak with her at all. She hopped up, walking barefoot over to the far end of the wall. Her fingers grabbed onto a ledge, and she grunted as she struggled to pull herself up. Once she got up, the held onto the top of the wall, feet on the ledge. She peered over the top, eyes squinting as she watched the nearby shadows for movement.

"What are you doing?" he asked in his gruff voice.

@ShadeStar

Lila spotted movement from the corner of her eye. She spun around and saw more movement, Corsai. She grabbed her emergency bag and ran one hand clutched to her medallion. This never happened before, she could feel the Corsai chasing after her. Her heart was pounding as she ran faster, Lila's mind racing. What's the closest place to hide? The Wrights wasn't it? She saw bright lights and ran towards them hoping they would ward off the group of Corsai

@Desvelarse pets

“I’m trying to see if I can spot any Corsai,” Faye answered, standing on her toes now. She glanced at a patch of shadows near a street light, and she could have sworn she saw a flash of claws and fangs. She was about to say something about it when there was a voice from by the house.

Faye!” her father shouted in a furious tone. “Get down from there, and keep that thing away from the pool! It could short out the collar!”

Faye flinched at his tone and carefully climbed down from the wall, landing softly in the grass. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know,” she said quickly once she had jogged over.

“No, you didn’t. Give me the remote.”

She was about to protest, glancing at Dax before hesitantly handing the small device to her Dad.

Dax's heart skipped a beat. He knew what was coming. It always happened whenever he had the remote. Dax braced himself.

@ShadeStar

Lila ran up to the wall. She didn't say anything heart still pounding. She braced her back against the wall and pulled out her pistol. She was going to have to try and fight the Corsai off, oh she was so dead.

@Desvelarse pets

“Dad, he-it didn’t do anything, really. It was just sitting there, I promise,” Faye said quickly, feeling sick to her stomach. She was trying to get Dax to feel comfortable around her, but that would never happened if he kept getting shocked.

“It has to know its boundaries, Faye,” he said with a dark look in his eye. He looked like he was about to press it when the wall creaked, something pressing against it. “What the hell..?”

Her dad handed the remote back to her and she exhaled sharply as he went over to the wall, peering through a small opening at the woman. “Hey! That gun won’t work! Go around to the front and I’ll let you in!” The man shouted.

Dax quietly sighed in relief, it wouldn't happen, not now, at least. He stepped away from the pool.
