Faye was confused as to who her dad was talking to as he ran past, going to the front door and swinging it open for the woman to come inside.
Once her dad was out of ear shot, she tucked the remote away, murmuring that she was sorry. She felt extremely guilty, and almost considered shoving Dax into the pool so the collar would short out.
Lila ran inside and the man closed the door behind her. She leaned over onto her knees and breathed heavily. She put the gun away.
Faye’s father flicked on the porch lights out front, and the sound of hissing could be heard before fading away. “Why were you out at night, Miss?” The older man asked, motioning for her to sit down on the couch.
Faye noticed the new arrival and shook away the previous thoughts, stepping back inside. She looked to be about her age, and was human. But her father mouthed the word ‘camera’ and she nodded, getting it from the kitchen. She snapped a photo of the woman and looked at the photo. Her eyes were normal. She shook her head at her dad and he nodded. Not much was known about Sunai’s, besides a few small things.
"I have nowhere to go sir," Lila responded sitting on the couch. Her hand had instantly gone to the medallion and she was now fidgeting with it.
Faye’s father nodded in understanding. “I’m Lincoln Wright, and this is my daughter, Faye. We have a spare bedroom, you can stay there for as long as needed,” the man said, motioning down the hall. “You and Faye look to be around the same age, if you need any clothes, you could borrow some of hers.”
Faye gave a friendly smile and nodded in agreement.
"Thank Mr. Wright," Lila responded, "That would be greatly appreciated."
She slowly stood up.
(Have to go, but I’ll be back later!)
“I can show you to the bedroom,” Faye said, motioning for that girl to follow. She was glad that her dad seemed to have forgotten about punishing Dax for nothing. He walked up the stairs and pushing open the door to a decently sized bedroom. “This is it, nothing extravagant or anything,” she said with a soft laugh. “Do you need clothes?”
Lila followed Faye and entered a huge room. Well it was huge to Lila since she hadn't exactly seen something this big. Faye asked her about clothes, "Oh yeah that would be nice."
(Yep. Have fun with that!)
Dax followed behind Faye, inspecting the new girl.
"I've been told that my eyes are white. With no pupils or irises like normal people." Calla leaned into Ronan's touch. "Am I a monster, Ronan?"
(You need a summary?)
Faye nodded and left, coming back a minute later with a stack of clothes in her arms. “I’m not sure what size you are, so I brought a few things that you could try on. How long do you think you’ll be staying for?” She asked, now in a more chatty mood. She felt pleased to have another female in the home.
~~
Ronan sighed softly at the question. “Humans like to identify anything that is slightly different from them as monsters. But monsters are cruel. We consider Corsai and Malchai monsters, but I’m sure they consider us to be monsters too. It depends on views of others and character. But you are not a monster, Calla. You have plenty of good in you,” he explained softly, rubbing her shoulder still.
"Probably a night," Lila responded. She grabbed a shirt, "I don't want to trouble you all that much."
(Don't worry, I read all of it)
"We are creatures of death and blood, of fear and the night. I was born of evil, Ronan." Calla shivered, closing her eyes, "I don't believe that I have much good."
(shoot I've missed a bunch too frickkkk)
The sun was going down, and Karina had barely noticed how long they had been outside. It was only when she heard soft hissing in the distance that she had noticed the sun had almost completely set. Quickly getting up, she began to make a run for her home, Calixto in tow.
Calixto rolled his eyes. Darned girl getting distracted. If he weren't owned by her, she would have been killed long ago. Then again, it was his fault for not telling her it was long past time to head inside. Still, that dumb princess shouldn't need to rely on him. One of these days he would escape and she would probably die. Not like he cared. Well maybe he would return for her blood, it being greatly sweeter than an animal's. He licked his lips at the thought. Suddenly he saw Karina trip, a Corsai gripping her leg, trying to drag her closer. She let out a short scream as it dragged her to the ground. Groaning at how pathetic she was, Calixto attacked the other monster, giving her time to get up and begin running again. He had a larger stride, so a few seconds head start would still be easy to catch up to. Running beside her again, he grew tired with how slow she was running due to height difference and picked her up.
"Man, I've gotta do everything for you, don't I, you spoiled princess?"
“Oh, don’t worry, you can stay as long as you’d like,” Faye said, setting the rest of the clothes on the bed. “I’ll let you change,” she said, stepping out of the room, motioning for Dax to step out after her. She shut the door and leaned against the wall as she waited.
“I wouldn’t have let him shock you, you know.. You didn’t do anything wrong,” she said in a quiet tone.

Ronan shifted so he was sitting on the edge of the cot. He stroked Calla’s hair, the taunting song echoing in his mind. “We are not creatures of blood or fear. Sunai’s are creatures of grace and beauty, we use music. We are not like Malchai or Corsai who kill with fangs or claws. We are strong and, and you are strong.”
Calla reached out and touched Ronan's nose, smiling. Her hand was thin and weak and pale and she knew that she needed to feed soon. She was getting weaker by the minute.
"Ronan, I need to feed."
Lila rummaged through the clothes. They were a very fine quality. She sighed before finding a pair of jeans, a lilac colored tank, and a leather jacket. She grabbed her fingerless gloves and put them back on and laced up her boots. Lila played around with the medallion again, a sense of comfort falling over her.
Making it to the house, Calixto opened the door, and slammed it behind him. Stupid girl.
He unceremoniously tossed Karina onto the couch and then sat on the floor beside it, glaring at her.
"It's not my fault that I lost track of time. It was a really nice day out," Karina said, feeling the need to explain herself.
"Uh, yeah it kinda is," Calixto spat back. "If it's alright with you, your majesty, I'm going to bed. Try not to attempt to kill yourself again, ya got that?"
With that, he stomped toward the stairs, but then paused. She could easily shock him for his outburst, or for not waiting for a response. Man he hated the stupid collar.
Realizing Calixto was waiting, she told him that he didn't have to wait for her to give him permission. As the Malchai left, she could faintly hear him grumbling under his breath, "Yeah right."
Faye waited in silence now for the girl to say it was okay to come in. She couldn’t get the image of the Malchai’s on the execution block out of her mind. It was terrible to her. Sure, she was frightened of Malchai at times, and some could be viscous, but they didn’t deserve to be murdered in front of an audience.

Ronan frowned softly at Calla. “When was the last time you fed?” He questioned, looking at her with a concerned expression. He hoped that she wasn’t close to 72 hours. He didn’t want the poor girl to experience the sensation of Falling. When he Fell, he had a high fever that got worse and worse until it suddenly broke. He remembered hte ground cracking, smoke rising from the depths of the earth. He remembered loosing his consciousness, but there were videos out there of him. His eyes were black, and the smoke surged around him in a way that gave him demon like wings and long horns. Many died that night, and he didnt want Calla to go through that terrifying experience.
Once Lila had calmed down she spoke up, "Uh you can come in. I guess."
"Three days ago, but on the first day of the three days." Calla blew away her bangs.
Faye opened the door and stepped inside, a smile on her lips. “Do those fit okay? They look great,” she said, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
~~
“Three days?” Ronan said, horror in his eyes. “We are getting you fed, now!” he grabbed her from the cot, keeping her in his arms. He snatched his violin from teh floor and ran, heading down the stairs and into the open. He bolted into the woods, breathing heavily as his lungs burned. He eventually reached the North Sector. He ran through the streets, no humans out for fear of Corsai. He set Calla down, slamming his foot into the door of a home, the door bursting open. (Lets just say this is near the two different homes to try and bring the characters together.) He bolted into the backyard where voices could be heard. A family was there, but they gasped, the wife screaming when they saw him. He raised his violin, playing a louder, quicker tune as then husband fell to his knees.
