He jumped, but his body relaxed once he realized it was Hase. "That bad? We're locked in a dark haunted mansion and we already lost someone, and to be honest she's probably hurt or dead by now! You're telling me that this place isn't that bad?!" Lukas exclaimed, throwing his arms in the air.
( Can someone notice Zoe?)
Zoe managed to pry the boards open and the sight was horrifying that she gave a short scream.
Flair starts to laugh uncontrollably and quietly… Insanely… Then her eyes cleared up and she sat up, looking around the room. She could barely see through her overly bloodshot eyes, "G-guys?" Her voice came out as a rasping whisper
A scream from Zoe, and then a laugh from somewhere…..Flair?! Isaiah, expression frozen, asks with wide eyes, "What did you find, Zoe?"
"C-Come look for yourself!" She yelled and backed away from the area in fear.
"I'd rather not…" Lukas mumbled, still leaning against the wall. From his position now, he could see the whole room in front of him. It made him feel more safe.
"Zoe…." Isaiah whispers, but he doesn't move. He hates his cowardice, but his fear is stronger than any desire to step forward and see what is beneath the floorboard.
"Guys?" Her voice was louder but more strained. She gets to her feet and staggers to the door. She felt so weak… Exhausted… Sore… She couldnt see very well
"You guys can't have seriously lost someone, you've been here what? Ten minutes?" Hase said, looking at the all incredulously. "I've been here for nearly half an hour, I haven't seen anything. Whoever's gone is probably just pranking you. So, Zoe, what did you supposedly find?"
Zoe managed to regain control of herself. "A-A dead body." She whispered looking incredibly shaken.
Hase's smile dropped. "What?" He asked, suddenly serious. He walked over to where she was standing, and froze. "That's.. that shouldn't be here." He said, trying not to throw up.
"No shit," Luca responded, glancing over at Hase. He was trying to fight his own nervousness, but failing miserably. His fists clenched as he stared down at the body.
Isaiah shakes his head, refusing to go over and have a look. "We…." He swallows, "We need to find Flair."
Hase took a step back, nearly stumbling. "Did she come in the same way you guys did? Or did she come in the back way like me?"
Xiang looks around, yes. It was all coming back now. He gulps and looks up. "Okay. We go find Flair, but listen carefully. We need to stick together. We don't know what this place has in store for us…" he whispers, hearing a faint ticking noise. The clocks. "Hey, What do your guys' times say? On your phones or watches?" He asks curiously, his heart pounding.
(Side note, it's important to the plot to say different times)
"Guys?!" Flair's voice was returning ever so slightly but she started to feel just flat out afull. She gags and spits out a wad of black substance.
Lukas tapped the power button on his phone, causing the screen to light up. "Two twenty five p.m." he responded quickly before shutting off his phone again. He continued to shine the light on the walls and down the hallway, not wanting to look at whatever Zoe found.
Xiang looks at his phone. "Odd mine says 9:15 am…" he hears Flairs cry and starts, his heart thudding. "We need to find her!" He says looking towards the others.
"13:09…." Icarus trailed off as he heard Flair's distant screams. "What if we all forced the door together? Maybe with our combined strength, it will finally open." Icarus suggested, running out of other ideas than to use a freaking battering ram.
Flari looks around. She sees a board laying in the corner of the room and she sprints to it, picks it up and runs back to the door. She wedges it between the door and the door jam and tries to lever it open
"Flair is somewhere deeper in the house. Opening the front door won't do anything. It'll be useful for when we get out, but it won't help get her. We need to go deeper into the house if we want to find anything." Hase said, trying to remember if he had seen anything when he had entered. He couldn't. "All I've explored is this one room upstairs with poetry on the walls. I haven't seen anything else."
Xiang nods slowly, hissing through his teeth. Fear wracked through his veins as he looks around. "We'll split into groups. Grab a partner and do not separate from one another. The beast will only attack you if you're alone." He says, gulping as memories rush through him. When was this timeloop going to end? He sighs softly, before looking up the stairs, "I'll go find Flair. We'll meet back here in 30 minutes." he says, gulping.
"Isn't that a bad idea? Ya know, splitting up?" Icarus questioned, finally able to pull the kleenex away without a trail of blood flowing to the floor. "Shouldn't we stay together as a group?" He wrinkled his brow but pocketed the bloody tissue, not wanting to litter.
"Hold on- what beast? How do we know she's being attacked and hasn't just scraped her knee or something?" Hase laughed nervously, running a hand through his hair. "That's always a possibility, right?"
