He stood with her looking at the little purple flower in the rocks's crack. He smiled softly and then glanced up "harder down here, isn't it?"
"Not… harder. Just different. The life here is… Fainter, but louder. More perseverant, stronger. Does that make sense?" She looked up at him.
He nodded, "I couldn't describe it better." he pointed to the plant "it's more contained here, as are all the souls here. Therefore their life screams louder. THeir desire to live is more pronounced. out there, they were alive, so they had no reason to see their lives as anything but what they were experiencing. but now that death has taken them down here, they now see the value. It's a simple realization, just hard to explain."
"Exactly!" Perrie swung herself back to sit on the rock, facing him. "It's stronger down here, more focused. More determined. Up there the plants respond to me because they have nothing better to do, but down here it's like they're waiting for me."
He smiled softly "they want to show their true potential to you." he said, lightly touching the flower with his hand
