"It really is amazing." Perrie whispered back, letting the quiet fall. This was the kind of place where you felt you had to be quiet, a respectful quiet.
"It really is amazing." Perrie whispered back, letting the quiet fall. This was the kind of place where you felt you had to be quiet, a respectful quiet.
The deer lied down and nodded "you can continue to explore. I'll be here if you'd like to ask questions."
Perrie nodded and slid away to explore. She wandered to the other side of the fountain, lost in thought and the quiet of the place.
The deer glanced around, making sure Perrie was out of sight "you can come out, your highness." She said to the shadow in the corner
Perrie, unaware, sat down on the edge of a rock and trailed her fingers over the smoothness.
"just talk to her." The deer prompted "it can't hurt."
Hades scoffed "right, a goddess like her interacting with me can't hurt her?"
Her hand found a patch of rougher rock, and she leaned over to look at it.
"it won't." The deer prompted "you seem to like her, go talk, maybe she'll surprise you."
Perrie took a deep breath and let herself fill with the air, before leaning back and rocking on the stone.
Hades nodded "she'll know I followed her…." He sighed and stood straight
She stretched, slowly releasing tension from her shoulders and tucking on leg beneath herself.
Hades sighed and adjusted his shirt. "You're a king, get it together." He sighed and walked over to where Perrie had disappeared to. "Perrie?" he asked softly, glancing around.
She startled, looking up so quickly her hair fell out from behind her ears. She tucked it back, calming herself down. it's just him. "Yeah?" She shifted on the rock to face him.
He glanced down at her, trying to seem approachable "sorry for startling you, Norai just told me that you've been touring around the Underworld, how's that been going?"
"It's been nice. I never realized what it was really like down here." She bit her lip and didn't look at him, instead looking around the clearing.
"I'm sure Norai told you the significance of this place?" he asked, giving up trying to make eye contact with her
She nodded, letting one hand trail through the side of her hair. "It's really amazing."
He watched her with a thoughtful smile "Thank you, though I'm sure it's nothing compared to what you can do."
Perrie cocked her head at him, a playful smile as she finally met his eyes. "What do you mean?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
He shook his head and smiled "I'm sure this is nothing compared to what you can do up there." he said pointing skywards
Perrie pursed her lips to hold back a smile. "What I can do up there, I can just as easily do down here." she smiled back.
He shook his head "I highly doubt it, not that I doubt you're skill, just that you can make anything grow down here."
Perrie raised both eyebrows, playfulness seeping into her voice. "Is that a challenge?" On the side opposite him, she dug her fingers onto the stone and pushed into it, pulling inside it for what she knew she'd find.
"I don't know, is it?" he asked, also gaining playfulness "I never knew you gods and being accepting of challenges." he mocked lightly, glancing over at what she was doing.
She pushed harder at the rock, pulling the life she could feel pulsing inside it. She hid the exertion and bounced to her feet triumphantly, revealing a tiny violet poking out of the side of the rock. "We like a good challenge sometimes."
