Reyna began to grow curious as the cat purred in her lap. Where had it come from? A gift from her mother? Unlikely. Her father’s present would be more likely. She stood, gently easing the cat off of her before leaving the room. “Where’s my father?” She asked a nearby card.
“The king was last seen with the roses, princess,” it said in a low tone, half-bowing. She nodded distractedly and drifted torwards the garden.
Last seen…?
He wasn’t there. She asked another card. Same response.
“When did you see him? And what about my mother?”
“Three hours, I believe,” it said thoughtfully. “Possibly. Time is warped. As for the queen… well, I haven’t seen her at all today. I did hear she was within he king, princess.”
Once again, she nodded, a sinking feeling in her gut. She searched the entire palace. Her parents were not here.
This had never happened before. Ever.
Altheia went back to the basket to see if there was any clue but other than the wolf pup, the note, and the blanket the pup was wrapped in there was nothing. she took out the pup and looked at it. "Hmm, What is your name pup?" she mused "Let's see here… flame? Midnight? Shadow? Ace? Stormy?" He barked " Stormy? your name is now stormy. now lets see what i can decipher from all this." she looked at the items, a pup, a blanket, and a word on a paper. she looked at the object and finally selected the paper. first smelling it she smelled pine and smoke, two scents she loved. she felt the paper and it felt like parchment. she then looked at the blanket and it was black and grey swirls (https://www.etsy.com/listing/480236815/solid-black-minky-dot-and-plush-rose) and smelled like pine and smoke. she examined the pup next and saw only saw a grey collar. she couldn't understand how these elements tied together so she just went to the window to sleep, Stormy following her.
Maddie was sitting in the middle of the floor. She was quickly going deeper and deeper down a rabbit hole bad thoughts. no he was always here, he would never leave me. he promised as much. He was always so scared because of how I perceived time. He always wanted to protect me. Maddie covered her eyes wiping away tears. One of the few consistent things in her life was now gone. I don't want to be alone.

Alex called her dad's shadow and it took her home as always. She landed softly on the island and walked towards the camp. The Lost Kids inhabited this island along with her too. She pushed through the bushes and was welcomed by Celine, one of the sentries. "There seems to be some mail for you." She said in curiosity and handed her a basket. Alex took the woven basket from her and saw that there was a note inside: Madlyn Carter. It said in fancy letters. There seemed to be something beneath it. It was a baby owl and it was sooooo cute. "Why hey there." She whispered softly as she held it up and cuddled it in her arms.

Susan walked outside. She came across an adorable pure black Rottweiler puppy with green eyes and an adorable little tail. It had a little black ribbon around it's neck and was in a magenta purple blanket that looked like a rose petal. "Well, that ribbon might choke you. Let me…" Susan untied the ribbon and decided to use it to tie up her own hair, which had previously been drooping from boredom and was now going wild with excitement. Susan could never resist a puppy. "What should I call you…. Should I name you Mort? Short for Mortimer." she asked, tickling it behind it's ears.
