Altheia went inside as quietly as she could. she wasn't supposed to go to parties without her mother knowing. But it was strange, her mother hadn't come down yet. she went to the kitchen to grab a snack and saw a basket. Thinking that her mother bought her a new magic robe, she rushed to the basket to open it.

Thanatos appeared in his fathers palace in the depths of the underworld. He shook off the strange feeling of teleportation and looked around for his father. He wasn't sitting on his throne as he usually was, instead on the seat of the throne sat a woven basket.

"What is this " he muttered inquisitively to himself. He gently picked it up looking to see if there was anything else in the basket.

Reyna sighed as the familiar walls of the palace appeared around her. Nearby, a lone card bowed. She nodded her recognition and slipped away to her room, where a single basket waited for her. Curious, she pulled it open. Inquisitive yellow eyes blinked up at her as the silvery cat purred. She slowly picked it out of the basket to little argument from the creature. Setting it on the bed, she remarked, “Well, aren’t you pretty?”

“I can finally take this mask off…” Chelsea said delightedly, pulling it off.
“It seems like we have gift.” Cade said, pointing at the basket in front of the house door.
“… who is it from?” Chelsea inquired, playing with the ribbons on the mask.
“It doesn’t say.” Cade said, “Wanna look inside?”
“Sure!” Chelsea said, skipping forward, they both crouched down and opened the basket.

Madilyn collapsed at her work bench and buried her head in her hands as the her world seemed to shift and time became distorted. The sound of laughter echoed though the room as the young Madilyn, maybe 4 or 5, ran around the room being cased by her father. The tear stains at her work bench became fresh as she looked over the she the early teen Maddie crying dress all in black the day they buried her mother. The biggest moments of her life were being played out before for her. She wandered the room watching each one until she looked towards the dinning room. A basket was placed on her dining room table, but she could not place the memory… was it a memory?

"What is this " he muttered inquisitively to himself. He gently picked it up looking to see if there was anything else in the basket.

Oliver appeared in a darker part of the woods. He had nowhere to go. Nowhere was his home. He squinted an looked ahead, noticing a woven basket near a rabbit hole by the base of the tree. What's this. . .?

There was a note buried at the bottom of the basket, which she almost didn’t notice. Picking it up, she glanced it over before frowning and putting it aside.

Maddie slowly reached out and touched the basket, it's real. She grabbed the note attached. It only said 'I'll' "I'll? What is that supposed to mean?" She turned the card stock over and over looking for anymore context. She moved on to opening the basket, "What?" She looked down at the two gray mice. One with a bowtie and the other a top hat. she reached her hand in and let them climb up on to her hand. "I don't suppose your two are going to give me any answers."

Altheia heard whining noises and opened the basket to fiand a black wolf pup sitting inside, its head tilted to the side. Under its paw she saw a note. she icked it up and all it said was "TREE".

Reading the note, Thanatos scanned the room again looking for his father. "Grimbsly" He shouted looking for his father's adviser. A man entered through a door in the back of the hall.

"How may I be of service sire" He inquired respectfully.

"Where is my father, I need to speak to him"

Grimbsly's normally calm expression appeared to become nervous. "Your father hasn't been seen sense yesterday sire, none of the palace's staff have seen him. He left no notice or anything it's as if he vanished."

The little color that resided in Thanatos' skin drained and a feeling of dread settled in his stomach .

Called “Through the Looking Glass”

There were two small kittens. One was grey with a blue bow and the other was a white kitten with a black collar.
“Aw it’s sO cUTE!” Chelsea squealed, admiring the kittens, “Hey Cade, there’s a-“
“-note. I see it.” Cade nodded, carefully taking out the note. He unfolded it.

“…be?” Chelsea read, she frowned.
“That makes no sense, we should ask-“
“-Father.” Chelsea finished, she and Cade shared a nod.
“But he’s the Chesire Cat, he obviously won’t be at home.” Cade groaned, petting the white kitten softly.
“Check what time it is,” Chelsea grinned, “he’s always home at this time.”

"Alright little guys back in the basket," she put them back, "I'll be right back." She looked around the room, "Father why did you make a tiny hat for a mouse?" She waited for a response, "Father?" Again only answered by silence. "Father I need help times not right!" She started moving from room to room, "Father!"

“… he’s not..” Chelsea frowned, “odd.”
Cade and Chelsea flickered back to ‘reality’, they exchanged puzzled looks.
“He’s not in this house….” Cade stated, he gently placed the basket on the floor.

Altheia looked up from the basket, only to see an empty room. "Mom…? Mom where are you?" She went to each of the rooms in the house and found them all empty. She came out of the library and stood in the hallway thinking back to which rooms she checked. crossing them all out she realized the only places she didn't check was Titus' room and her moms, both forbidden to her. She looked in Titus' room first, using her magic to bypass all the enchantments and locks, she looked inside to see that everything was how she remembered her older brothers room. she couldn't believe how long it had been since he died, she almost didn't even remember him. Realizing her mother hadn't been in here since the accident, she left the room and locked it. she then checked her mom's room to find the same result, Her mother was not in the house.
