Jude smiled, "So we'll just stay like this, then?" He rubbed his eyes tiredly, "I have a whole bed that's a hundred times comfier than this couch, you know."
Jude smiled, "So we'll just stay like this, then?" He rubbed his eyes tiredly, "I have a whole bed that's a hundred times comfier than this couch, you know."
He grumbled. "Or you could carry me and then I wouldn't have to move." He replied, looking up at Jude with a smile.
"You want me to carry you?" Jude chuckled, raising his eyebrows and looking at the shelf, only a couple of yards away, "To the shelf?"
"Yes." he replied with a laugh, snuggling up to Jude and wrapping his arms around him. "I'm not that heavy."
Jude smiled and sighed, considering it for a moment, “Fine,” He shrugged lightly, “How should I carry you?”
He shrugged a little bit, holding onto Jude. "Carefully." He replied with a soft laugh, staying snuggled up to the taller male.
"That's inconvenient, I was planning on throwing you over my shoulder like a sack of flour," Jude smiled, wrapping his arms over and under him, lifting him off the couch in one motion. "Hmm, not that light, either," He teased.
Nyx laughed, and wrapped his legs around Jude, smiling. "Hey! The metal was designed to be light. Ish." He said, leaning his head on Jude's shoulder.
"Sure, sure," Jude laughed, taking the few steps to his shelf of records. It held everything from rock to rhythm and blues, his collection of vinyls had started with a vintage edittion of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and had grown over the years, filling the empty space of the shelf. He smiled, "Alright, take your pick, you adorable sloth."
Nyx laughed, and kissed Jude's cheek lovingly. "Alright." he looked through the vinyls. He didn't really know the difference between any of them, at least not by sight.
“Choose whatever looks interesting,” Jude suggested with a smile, his eyes scanning over the different colours and designs of the vinyl covers. Some were older than others, second-hand records with bent edges and older art styles.
Nyx finally grabbed one, holding it up. He looked at Jude. "This one." He said with a happy smile.
"This one?" Jude repeated, smiling at Nyx's excited expression towards the colourful record he held, "And which one is this?"
Nyx nodded, then studied it carefully. "It's, uhm…I don't know." He said after a moment, letting out a quiet laugh.
Jude angled his head to see it better, smiling at the little name in the corner, "Tame Impala, looks like. Currents, I like this album."
Nyx nodded a little bit. "Mm. Alright." He replied, smiling. He leaned his head on Jude's shoulder again.
"Mhm," Jude smiled, turning, "Now," He said with a teasing look, "We should put it on. As much as I like holding you like this, my arms are gonna get tired."
Nyx sighed loudly. "But my arms don't get tired." he replied teasingly. "Besides, I don't know how to put it in." he kissed Jude's cheek with a laugh and a smile.
"Well, I'll show you," Jude said, smiling shyly from Nyx's little kiss and placing his own kiss on the corner of his jaw, "And I only have two hands. Two hands that don't hold superhuman strength, sadly, a gym membership can only go so far…"
"I only have two hands!" Nyx protested, laughing a little bit at Jude. He was smiling, though, looking at Jude with a content and happy gaze.
"Me too!" Jude agreed sarcastically, "That's the whole point; it will only be so long before I hurl you at the couch in attempt to regain feeling in them," He joked, nodding at the vinyl he'd chosen, "Plus– how will we play the music?"
He rolled his eyes a little bit. "Fine, fine." he squirmed a little bit, getting out of Jude's arms. "Then put the music in."
"Okay, okay," Jude smiled, taking a side step to his record player. He carefully took the record out of its cover sleeve, "So… it's important that you only touch the sides, to stop it from getting scratched." Jude placed the record on the soon-to-be spinning disk, picking up the needle in a quiet focus and bringing it to the vinyl's edge, "Aaaand, here we go."
He nodded a little, watching Jude's movements and watching the record begin to spin on the player. He looked up at Jude for a moment, then at the record and player again.
A soft scratch let the music find it's way out, filling the apartment with smooth sounds of synth and the beginning of echo-like vocals. "There," Jude said softly, letting his eyes linger on the spinning record before smiling at Nyx.
