Nagai smiled and let her hair down. She grabbed her notepad writing, Sorry! but her face definitely showed she didn’t mean it.
Nagai smiled and let her hair down. She grabbed her notepad writing, Sorry! but her face definitely showed she didn’t mean it.
"Sure," Lata deadpanned, drawing out the end of the word. She was smiling however, not seeming all that irritated. Hopping down from the window, she began twirling a strand of hair around her finger.
Nagai followed Lata, not really knowing what else she could do. She looked around, luckily avoiding the dead animals and other dangerous objects.
Lata hummed in thought, unsure of what else to do. Usually she would have to spend the day fending for herself, but with Nagai helping her out…? She really didn't have much to do.
"Again, there's really not much to do in this place," she reminded the older girl who was trailing behind her.
Nagai shrugged, Do you have anything you want to do? she asked. She didn’t know what there was to do here, so she felt asking Lata was the only option she really had.
"Not really," Lata replied with a shrug.
(I'm running out of ideas, help)
Uhhhh time skip to drama? :P//
Please lol//
Oof okie then….
Imma just…..//
I actually don’t want to write this, it’s hurting me to write! •A•//
Oh no, you've got me scared now//
You should be
Also half of it is just me hating my writing//
I’ll just make you wait a little longer~//
Nagai looked at the sky, it was almost night. She wrote, I’d better get going, I’ll see you later! and showed Lata. She waved as she walked off, making a mental note to bring shoes for Lata. She was able to walk home leisurely, her father wouldn’t be home for a few more hours.
Nodding, she waved in return as she watched her friend leave once again. Sighing, she walked quietly back to her "apartment." The day hadn't been all that eventful, but being able to spend time with someone she trusted felt amazing. Thinking about it for a moment, she decided that she would have to come up with more things to do. Lata wasn't the most artful person on the earth after all. She almost laughed a bit at the irony of her ability involving creation. After a while, the young girl gave into sleep's temptations and crawled into bed.
(aaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAA these poor children, omg)
It’s gonna get worse…//
…I had written 5 or 6 paragraphs….
…And accidentally deleted it….//
This actually hurt to write it ;-;//
Nagai arrived at her home and started climbing. After a while, she stopped. There weren’t any guards out, why climb when she could basically fly? Nagai manipulated the wind, grinding her up to her window with ease. She grabbed a cloth and packed a few clothes, some shoes, and some money for Lata.
A few minutes passed. Nagai’s father burst into the room, his face tomato red. Nagai looked at him like a deer in headlights. He had seen her. His eyes will filled with fear and hatred, making Nagai take a step back. His breathing was heavy and sweat beaded his forehead. Nagai looked at him fearfully, tears welling in her eyes. She knew what he would do, even if she was his daughter.
Fearfully, Nagai ran. She she jumped at the window she had closed, smashing glass, but getting out. She used the wind to get herself down safely, inhaling sharply when she landed on her left foot. She ignored the pain as she sprinted. She ran as fast as she could, then faster.
Tears streamed down her face, stinging in the cold night air. Nagai glanced back as she ran, no one seemed to be following her. She stumbled over a piece of wood sticking up from the ground and fell. She sat up and wiped her eyes, trying to clear her vision.
Nagai had eventually found an alley where she could rest for a bit and look at what she had in the cloth sack. Two shirts, three pants, two pairs of running shoes, one pair of sandals, and two silver pieces. She had lost the three gold pieces and eight of her silver pieces, but it was better than nothing.
Nagai remembered something and started to frantically search. She slumped in defeat. Nothing. She had lost her notepad, but at least her pencil was still tucked behind her ear.
Nagai sighed and looked at her left foot, the pain intense. The piece of glass was a fairly decent size, bigger than she had first thought. It was now deeply embedded, but the blood was kept at bay. Nagai sighed, she couldn’t do anything about it right now, she’d have to go to Lata’s home.
Nagai started to get up, but was exhausted by running and instead fell back into a sitting position. She kept her left foot off the ground, trying to not allow it to get any deeper. Nagai was surprisingly comfortable, the lack of sleep and running might have played a part in that. Either way, Nagai was able to sleep, but her dreams weren’t pleasant. A tear streamed down her face in her sleep, her dreams reliving her worst moments.
