Caleb's cries slowly dried up and he shuddered violently.
Caleb's cries slowly dried up and he shuddered violently.
¨please wake up¨ she said.
Caleb's eyes slowly slid open against his will. He looked up and quickly shoved away. "Who are you?! Where am I?! What happened!?" He was starting to hyperventilate, his eyesight still blurry, so he didn't recognize Briar in the dim light.
Caleb¨ was all she had said..
Caleb grabbed his knife and crouched away from the figure as he wiped the blurriness from his eyes. When he saw who it was, his eyes widened and his voice hitched. "B-Briar..?"
Briar looked at him. ¨h-hey¨ she said.
Then fear came over his face and he started to try and scramble for the window, his leg dragging behind him, smearing blood.
¨I´m not gonna arrest you¨ she said.
Caleb wasn't listening. He had to get away from her, whether or not she was gonna arrest him. He struggled to open or smash the window.
Briar grabbed the back of his shirt pulling him down.
Caleb yelled, "Get off of me! Get away from me!!" He tried to tug away, his leg not helping.
¨Calm down Caleb¨ she said softly.
"CALM DOWN!?" Caleb was definitely hyperventilating now.
¨yeah don´t make me shoot you again¨ she said.
Caleb's skin was pale and he broke out in a cold sweat. He was gasping for air as his panic attack fully set in.
(By the way, did you know that you can cure some panic attacks by making the person hold the breath? cough cough like cough kissing cough cough them? cough)
Briar leaned down and kissed. him.
Caleb squeaked a bit, eyes wide, and held his breath. As he did so, he gradually calmed, and he relaxed, letting himself be kissed.
once he was calmed she started to pull away.
Caleb to a deep breath when they parted. "Why'd you do that? We're enemies. You're supposed to capture me and send me to prison, not cover me with a blanket after knocking me unconscious and kissing me randomly."
" you were having a panic attack" she said.
Caleb tilted his head. "That doesn't quite answer my question…" He hauled his leg closer to him. "Why am I not being transported to a jail cell right now?"
"because I know you and care about you".
Caleb looked away. "Does that really matter? You left me in like, 10th grade. We're adults now. Things are different."
"I had no choice and you know that caleb" she said.
Caleb sighed. "Still. You think you could've moved on at least? Find a nice FBI guy rather than a wanted criminal?" He watched blood trickling down his leg absently. "It was a high school thing. How many years has it been anyway?"
