Caleb dragged his sorry ass back to his bunk. When he finally got back, heopened the dor and sighed, "Don't kill me please." A blue streak slammed into him. "CALEB! YOU'RE BACK!" Hack bounced up and down, hugging Caleb tightly. Caleb looked at the ten year old's hair. "What happened to your hair? Why's it blue?" "Tosser dyed it!"
Briar sighed going inside her house.
"Mommy you're home!" Lizzie ran from her room, down the stairs and into her mother's arms
she picked lizzie up hugging her close.
Caleb limped towards a couch, Hack helping prop him up until he crashed onto the cushions with a groan of pain. "Damn, she was seriously a good shot." Hack tipped his head. "Who?"
Briar carried lizzie to her room.
Caleb grinned. "Briar~" Hack's eyes became unamused. "Tosser!" he called, "The boss got knocked on the head again I think! He's talking about that girl Briar again!"
She put her daughter to bed and went to the couch.
Caleb watched as a teenage girl walked into the room with a medical kit. She sghed, looking at his eg. "Honestly Blue… You'd think that a shadow could evade a bullet." She knelt down and pulled out some tweezers, unwrapping his leg.
(im gonna add some action)
Briar heard something in lizzies room and ran up to her room and she was gone.
(Yeeesssss!!!)
Caleb rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone. It still had the same number as it was in high school, when he and Briar dated. He wondered if hers was the same too.
Briar started panicking and reached for her phone dailing calbebs old number.
Caleb jumped when the phone rang in his hand, He immediately recognized the number and he answered it, "B-Brair? What-"
Briar was now sobbing "Elizabeth''s g-gone a-and I-i don''t know what do do"".
Caleb sat up, then screamed out in pain. "TOSSER!" She had just ripped out the bullet. "Brair, stay calm, I'll get stitched up, and I'll be there soon. Elizabeth is going to be okay, I'll find her. Hacker!" Hacker stood at attention. "Yes sir!" "Check the security cameras around Briar's house, trace her phone signal to find it." Hacker ran off without hesitation to his computer.
Briar was now hyperventilating but nodded "o-okay"
Caleb continued to Briar, between his gritted teeth as he felt Tosser stitching him up, "Briar, do you remember seeing anything unusual when you got home? Like, anything out of the ordinary."
Briar shooke her head "No".
Tosser tied off the tread and bandaged his leg. "Okay boss. Good to go." Hacker said, "I've sent coordinates and all information from the security cameras to your phone. Good luck!" Caleb bolted for his motorcycle, grabbing his jacket as he went crashing out the door.
Briar was outside on her porch bawling her eyes out.
Caleb was there in record time, having somehow evaded several police cars on his way there.
Caleb put his kick stand down and limped up to the porch. "Briar…"
Briar looked up her eyes swollen with tears.
Caleb sat down next to her, wanting to hold her close and comfort her, but he was hesitant, not sure if she loved him anymore.
