Briar was on a case to find the most wanted criminal in America ,little did she know it was her ex Briar wondered around seeing dead bodies everywhere.

Caleb burned open a hole, mask over his face. "What I'll do for some information and a little cash. Honestly…" He finished and knocked out the plate of metal. He reached in with his leather gloved hand and palmed a bag, slipping it into his pocket.

Briar could hear someone talking and steadied her gun.

Caleb heard movement near the front of the building. 'Dammit. I need to get outta here."' He stood up and sprinted for a window.

¨STOP¨ she yelled shooting her gun hitting him in the leg.

Caleb felt a sharp burning pain in his leg and heard a shout. His leg gave out from under him, his mask getting knocked off as he fell and hit his head on a corner of a table. He lay on the floor, dazed, and his eyesight flickering.

Briar slowly walked over to him,dropping her gun from seeing who it was.

Caleb saw someone walking over to him and pulled his lips back into a snarl. He muttered, "Damn you. This is gonna hurt." Then his sight blacked out completely.

Briar cursed under her breath picking up her gun putting it back on her belt. she kneeled down and stroked his hair¨I´m sorry caleb¨.

Caleb felt something touching his head in his coma and yanked away with a growl.

¨this is one mission im gonna have to fail¨ she said..

Caleb curled up and shivered. His leg dragged slowly.

Briar looked around finding a blanket and throwing it on him,

Caleb relaxed when the blanket was thrown over him. He made a soft, whimpering noise and pulled the fabric closer.

Briar sighed and tried to stroke his hair once more.

Caleb cried out a bit when he felt a hand on his hair, but didn't pull away. Instead, he pushed his head into the hand. "I-I miss her…" he whimpered softly.

¨Who?¨ she asked not knowing if he could hear her.

Caleb didn't realize he was talking and and curled up, crying, "I miss my Briar…. I loved her…"

¨oh caleb she misses you too¨ she said.

Caleb shook his head. "No. She can't be with me. She… she needs to stay away from me…" Tears betrayed him and slipped down his face.

Briar wiped his tears ¨Briar had to leave you and she regretts it¨ she said.

Caleb curled up tighter. "No. I'm n-not good for her… I'll only put her in danger, and-" He choked up. "-N-now we're on opposite sides…"

¨she loves you she had to leave you in highdchool because of her family¨ she said softly.

Caleb was silent now, except for his quiet crying and a constant murmur of, "Briar… my Briar… Briar…" slowly rocking, holding his leg.
