Caleb immediately started running back towards his car, not hanging up. "Does Lizzie know yet?" he puffed into the speaker.

"No shes not here at her aunt's" she said

Caleb swung himself into his car and started it up. "How's your stomach been feeling? Do you have ginger-ale in the house?"

" no I'm fine" she said " don't worry" she said

Caleb rolled his eyes and chuckled as he pulled out of his spot, and started down the road. "Okay, I'll try, but remember- This isn't your first baby, but this is mine. I'm gonna be a little panicked, and I'm sorry, but please bear with me."

" I Know and I'm sorry I advance I I throat punch you" she halfway teased

Caleb laughed loudly. "Fair enough. Fair enough…. Hey, do you get paid maternity leave?"

" i still go to work" she said

"I meant later along your pregnancy. You can't be running around after bad guys with a baby belly."

" watch me" she teased

"I'd rather not. Though I'm sure whoever you're running after will definitely be terrified to death that a woman with a big pregnant belly is speeding after them with a gun." he teased back. "Seriously, though, please tell me you won't really."

"I won't but hurry up and get here and hold me" she said

Caleb was already turning onto her street. The hiking path hadn't been far from her house. "I'm almost there, Sweetheart." he replied, smiling.

"yay" she said cheerfully

He drove a little ways more before pulling into the driveway and turning the engine of his car off. "I'm here."

" well come inside_ she whined

"Imma comin', I'm a comin'!" Caleb laughed, getting out of his car and heading up to the front door, hanging up the phone and knocking before opening the door and peeking in. "Briar~"

Briar sqeauled. Launching herself at caleb

Caleb stumbled a bit, surprised, but quickly wrapped her up in his arms, nuzzling his face into her hair, breathing her scent in. "Oh, I missed you…." He then swung her up into his arms and headed for the living room, so they could snuggle on the couch.

" I'm so happy your here" she said

Caleb smiled. "As am I." He sat down with her on his lap before nuzzling her some more as he asked, "Are you excited?"

She nodded " if your not there on delivery and I'll kill you" she said

Caleb raised a hand as though taking an oath. "I swear upon my life, only the most dire thing, aka: death, could keep me away from the hospital when you go into labor." He grinned.

She smiled " I've missed you" she said

Caleb nuzzled into her neck, breathing in her scent. "As did I…"
