Caleb hummer softly a song that he had listened to a lot in his teenage years. He gently swayed Brair to the tune, looking at his lovely fiancé.
(They did agree upon marriage, correct?)
Briar smiled brushing her blond bangs to cover her eyes.
Caleb nuzzled her cheek. “I love you so much… I wish I had never left you…”
¨I Left you¨ she said.
Caleb shook his head. “I shouldn’t have let you…”
¨Ẅe´re Together Now¨ she said.
Caleb smiled and touched her forehead with his. “Yes we are…” he sighed. “We should probably get going. I need to let Hacker and Tosser know everything’s good again.”
She nodded with a small smile.
Caleb hugged her closely before letting go. “Why don’t you grab Lizzie and I’ll get some stuff together.”
She nodded. She went to where Lizzie was ¨Elizabeth sweetheart We´re gonna go Are you ready?¨ she asked.
Lizzie glanced up from her picture book she was looking over and nodded with a happy smile, glad to be going out
Briar nudged her head towards the door ¨:Let´s go¨.
She bounced up and followed her mother to the door "where are we going, mama?"
¨I´m not sure lizzie¨ she said.
Caleb came into the room, a gun slung over his shoulder. "Ready to go Sunshine?" he grinned at Lizzie then glanced at Briar, reaching for the door.
Lizzie eyed the gun, hiding behind her mother out of fear. "where are we going?" she squeeked
¨It´s for protection Liz you´ve seen me use a gun I won´t let anything happen to you I promise.
"I..I know…" She relaxed slightly and stepped next to her mother "EverytimeeI've seen a gun, bad things happen ,"
¨Iĺl protect you¨ she said.
She nodded and took her mother's hand, excited to go outside despite the gun
briar smiled.
Caleb's eyes saddened as Lizzie hid from him. He sighed as he opened the door, looking out before waving for the girls to go through.
Briar grabbed Lizzie's hand and walked out the door
