"Uh, no, it's crawling up your leg,"
"Uh, no, it's crawling up your leg,"
Cicada raised an eyebrow as this time she lit her whole leg on fire before shaking it out, "Now?"
"No, ahh! It's getting away! It's probably gonna get you in your sleep,"
Cicada walked up to him, "You were pulling my leg, any spider would be dead by now."
"Yeah, I am. There was no spider,"
Cicada still let out a sigh of relief, "Thank god. Also I hate you."
"That's okay, I hate me too!"
Cicada looked him dead in the eyes, "Never say that again."
"What, that there's a spidy or that I hate myself?"
"Either," Cicada said in a commanding tone.
"Well, I'm not the biggest fan of myself, what are you going to do?"
"Make you become a fan of yourself. No one should hate themselves." Hypocrite.
"Well, I do. It might suck for you but I hate myself." After what he did, he had developed depression. Voices in his head, self hatred, self harm, the whole bit.
"Yeah, a year with me and that'll turn around," Cicada said with a false confidence. She felt her old mask slip back on like a glove, to hide the girl hiding behind. The one with the mask was confident and held power within and over others. The one inside was scared constantly, that she was going to mess something up and hurt everyone close to her.
"Good luck with that," he sighed and suck to the ground against the wall.
"I don't need luck," Cicada scoffed slightly, "I've got skill."
"Okay, whatever you say." he sighed again. "So, I figure if I'm with you for at least a year, I should attempt to become close with you,"
“That’s what I’ve been doing all along buddy,” Cicada said with open arms, “So we friends now?”
"Yeah, I suppose we are. Is that a hug offer?"
“I mean I guess,” Cicada shrugged. It was originally more of a gesture, but whatever.
He pushed himself up and gave her a hug, he pulled her a little tighter than he thought he meant to.
Cicada made a noise that soinded a lot like the air being squeezed out of her. She did manage to hug him back though.
Dalton let go, "Sorry, didn't mean to kill you,"
Cicada leaned over catching her breath. She gave him a thumbs up, “It’s all good.”
He smiled a little, "there's a spider,"
