Dalton shook his head, "It's just a cubby, it's probably nothing but we can look,"
Dalton shook his head, "It's just a cubby, it's probably nothing but we can look,"
"Never hurts to look," Cicada said walking over to the cubby.
Dalton followed, "You should go in first,"
Cicada rolled her eyes and muttered, "Scaredy cat," before climbing into the cubby hole.
"You have fire for a light, why wouldn't you lead?"
"When you say it like that, yeah it makes sense," Cicada lit a small fire finding it much more spacious on the other side of the cubby hole.
He knelt down and peeked in. “See anything?”
"Not really, but it's a lot bigger than it looks."
“Try pushing on the back wall to see if you can open something,”
"Got it, but get down here!" Cicada took her unlit hand and pushed against the wall finding it give a little.
Dalton sighed and crawled in. “I’m here geez.”
"The wall budged, I'll provide light and you push against it," Cicada explained moving away from the wall.
He nodded and pushed as hard as he could against the wall until it gave in and he tumbled in with it.
Cicada whooped as she rolled in after him, "Nice job muscle. Now let's keep going."
He chuckled and followed her. “This is fun,”
Cicada laughed as she lit a way into the darkness, "I suppose."
“What do you think this is?”
"Some hidden chamber that the school doesn't think we'll ever find. Duh."
“It’s a secret. It’s the chamber of secrets?”
"Apparently," Cicada said looking around letting her fire grow so they could see farther.
“The snake, people couldn’t look in its eyes because they’d go blind otherwise. I resonate with that a lot,”
"I can tell," Cicada said with a mused smile, "Do you see anything?"
“Not really. I feel like I’m in a mineshaf,”
"Maybe that's what this is. Underground tunnels."
Nixon unpacked his things then flopped onto the bed. Well I'm mildly bored. "So what kind of power do you have?" He asked Peter hoping to at least slightly befriend his roommate.
