Rowan gasped in horror as she saw Armand tackled Petree to the ground. "DON'T HURT EACH OTHER!" She screamed frantically, desperate to escape.

(hmph. At least Rowan's on my side)
"Hey!" Petree screamed. And then got the second genius idea of the day. She lay still, hoping Armand would somehow give up. And if she was able to get up, she could tell Armand he wasn't useless. It took skill to beat her, Armand said so himself.
Yuki watched Armand tackle Petree. She bit her lip. Petree wasn't fighting back. Armand may not be strong, but he could still hurt Petree if she didn't fight. If only she knew where President Harris was. She has to be watching the battle. Harris must be here somewhere.
He'd move to his knees next to her after noticing her lack of struggle. "What's wrong with you? Why won't you.." He panted a little bit.
"Watt better not win." A soldier hissed from behind Rowan. "I bet half my salary on that theif!" He complained loudly. Rowan was determined not to show the soldiers she was crying. Instead she scanned the stands, her gaze finally finding Yuki.
Yuki turned to see Rowan looking at her. Yuki was surprised by her relief to see Rowan. She waved. The soldiers around her already had puzzled looks on their faces and after she waved they turned to see whom she had waved at. A grumpy look came across her face. “What are you looking at?”, she snarled at the confused soldiers.
Rowan smiled sadly back at Yuki, knowing this could be the last time they saw each other. They'll send me off to combat training after this. I won't survive. I won't ever see Yuki again. I won't ever see my family again…
The soldiers stared blankly at the silver-eyed girl who had just snarled at them. One of them finally asked her, “Who are you? We haven’t seen you in the compound.” Yuki laughed. “Seriously? Who could forget a girl with blue ‘n green hair and silver eyes? Who could forget these muscles?” The other soldiers looked at each other and whispered. “That’s what we were wondering.”, another one of the soldiers said, a tone hinting the growing suspicion.
“I am a spy for the President. You probably haven’t seen me because of my work.”, Yuki lied. Saying it made her feel sick to her stomach. She would never work for that evil monster.
(Petreeee?)
(Yesss)
(Sorry for taking so looong)
(Thinking about what Petree should so)
(She could actually fiiiggghht? There are ways to stop the fight, from the outside.)
(I'm trying to move things along here, but I don't mind changing or deleting this later.)
Rowan was was horrified as Armand and Petree fought. It was even more frustrating that Yuki seemed content to watch the, fight for their lives. Rowan couldn't take it. She couldn't let this happen. I'm going to die when they drag me to combat training after this. She steeled her nerves and shot upwards onto her feet, elbowing the nearest guard and making a beeline for the arena. "STOP!" She screeched at the top of her lungs. She could hear guards running after her and panicked, jumping into the sunken in battleground.
Yuki heard Rowan’s yell. Guards ran after her. Yuki wouldn’t let the guards hurt her. She ran towards the guards chasing her. “Need help?”, she called out. Yuki was looking at the guards, but the message was meant for Rowan. When she got close enough, she tripped the guard in the lead. “Sorry, that was an accident”, she lied. Yuki grabbed Rowan midstep. “Going somewhere?” Rowan looked worried. “From now on the prisoner is sitting with me, so she won’t escape again!”
(did Yuki grab her before she jumped into the arena?)
(I think so?)
"Yuki… they're in danger!" Rowan hissed quietly under her breath, furious as the guards shrugged and walked off, leaving her under Yuki's jurisdiction. "We have to stop this before they get hurt!"
"I need to find Harris. That's how we can put an end to this. An end to the society.",Yuki whispered. "Now pretend to be angry at me or scared of me or something. Gotta make it look real for now."
Rowan let out a defeated sigh. She didn't have to pretend to be scared. Her eyes were focused on her friends who fought for their lives. "I wanna be with you when we find her. I wanna talk to her." Rowan ordered quietly, her eyes uncharacteristically dull.
"Harris is a coward and will call for soldiers. It's too dangerous for you. I'll talk to her and this will all end." Yuki whispered sternly. She knew she wasn't going to exactly talk. Talking would get them nowhere. Soon we might all see a broken society without a leader. But nevermind, it was always broken. It would be for the better.
"Then where am I gonna go? There's no one left. Please, Yuki. Let me go with you. I'll do whatever you say! I promise!" Rowan begged. There had to be a way to talk to Harris about this. There had to be a way to fix her.
"You think you will solve this all by talking?", Yuki whispered. She took a seat father away from the other soldiers. "Because it won't. She will have you killed. Now it's personal between me and her.", she said aggressively.
Rowan stared at Yuki, hurt glistening in her eyes. "You'll be right there to protect me. Just give me a shot, Yuki."
