“Please listen to the girl.”, Harris faintly said. “H-how much money do you want? I could get you a high position in my soc-“
“I don’t want your stupid money or a position in your evil society!” Yuki traced the blade down her back. Harris let out a pained scream.
Rowan screamed also, she couldn't take this. She charged blindly at Yuki, desperate to end this.
Yuki lifted Rowan off the ground and set her in the president’s chair. “I understand if you never forgive me for this.”, she said as she tied Rowan to the chair with her handcuffs. Then she got back to the murder of President Harris.
Rowan whimpered, trying squirm away. The metal chains were just too strong. "Yuki, please! Armand and Petree are dying! We don't have time for this!"
Yuki ignored Rowan. She continued to use the blade, throwing a few punches here and there.
She knew she was being ignored. She came to her last resort. Rowan let out the loudest shriek she could muster. It was a horrible noise. Filled with her fear and hurt. Harris was much quieter, restraining her whimpers, but if Yuki was going to make Harris suffer like this. Then Rowan wanted to forced her to imagine she was doing it to her. So she screamed and wailed agonisingly loud.
“Calm down.”, Yuki said sternly. It wasn’t helping that Rowan was screaming whenever she brought down the blade. She had to remind herself she was doing this to Harris and not to Rowan. Just ignore her. She doesn’t understand. This is the moment you have been waiting for your whole life.
Rowaned ignored Yuki, screaming herself hoarse. Until all she could do was hyperventilate, gasping and struggling for air.
Yuki left President Harris on the floor in a pool of blood. She came to the chair Rowan was sitting in and unchained her. “You need to go now.”
Rowan shook her head vehemently and clutched onto Yuki's shirt with shaking hands, desperate to stay by her side.
“I said now!”, Yuki yelled. She felt bad for yelling at Rowan. She knew this was too much for her. Rowan had to get out while she still had any sanity left.
Rowan curled in a fetal position, terrified and sad and so many other emotions at once. She whimpered weakly at Yuki's tone, but secured herself to the chair.
"If you wish to do this to yourself then fine!" Yuki took a clean blade from her pocket and aimed it towards her chest.
Rowan grabbed onto the blade handle, yanking it backward and away from Yuki with all her might.
(I'm planning on an attempt and fail as far as Yuki's suicide. I think I will make it to where she passes out and doesn't die.)
Yuki ripped her hand free from Rowan's. She felt many emotions as she brought the blade to the skin on her collarbone. It was bittersweet. The anger was still there, boiling inside her. There was something new. At first Yuki couldn't comprehend what. Then as black specks laced her vision, she realized it was love. Something she hadn't felt in a while. She missed love. Wherever she went she would see her parents and loved ones again. Yuki gave Rowan one last hug before she fell to the floor.
Rowan has tears pouring down her face as she lifted Yuki's body across her back, trying to distribute the weight. Everything became a blur as she staggered to the door, drenched in blood. Soldiers rushed past her. It see,ed like ages as she ran with Yuki. She had to get to Armand's office. Hopefully he was okay, but she had no time to check.
(Can't really respond until I wake up.)
(Got it. I'll add more.)
Rowan set Yuki down in Armand's chair and practically trashed his office in srpearch of bandages. She could clean the cut later if she had too, but for now the bleeding needed to be stemmed. The patching of the would was sloppy, but secure. Yuki was breathing shallowly. She was still alive. Rowan was exhausted and covered in dry blood, making her skin itch. But as alarms blared around them, Rowan sat loyally by Yuki's side, waiting for her to wake.
(That was nice writing. Just have to wait for Armand. Your character is so optimistic, assuming she will wake up! I'm pretty sure I won't let Yuki die.)
(Thank you! I can't wait for @SincereBeastie to get back so we can keep going. I can't wait to find out what happens next lol)
The announcement had been made that the competitors were taking too long to fight, and then hell began to rain down.
A large bot walked into the arena; one that Armand recognized as a design of his own. It was a lethal military bot, that wasn't produced because of the material cost. But he knew how deadly it was. Heavy metal feet shook the ground as it slowly pounded towards the pair, before stopping and raising an arm. The worst part about this robot was that it was controlled wireless by someone in a different location. The wrist of it rotated.
Armand recognized the move, getting ready to move, and as soon as the robot fired its whole hand off at the pair he'd decide where the projectile was moving and act, quickly mustering all of his strength to nearly tossing Petree back from him, propelling himself the opposite way. The hand smashed into the arena wall behind them, Armand falling backwards, but scrambling quickly to his feet and looking back at it for the next move, and it was already working on it. Armand winced as the wind was knocked out of him from behind, and pain shot through him from nose to toe. The robot swung the hand back towards himself on a rope, catching him with the projectile nearly as large as his torso.
He was down, and the bot stepped towards him; he thought he could feel his heart change it's rhythm due to the vibration caused by it's massive feet, getting close. He couldn't move; his already weak body in too much pain to do much. Then it moved in to finish the job quickly; he could see the shadow over his head of the sole.
"THE PRESIDENT IS DEAD!!" Rang out as the robot creaked and halted.
"THE PRESIDENT IS DEAD!!"
Nyir leapt from her seat as all the commanders and generals around her fell into hysteria. The chaos was actually in her favor. She wanted to say she was surprised, but the fire in Yuki's eyes had told her everything. President Harris' death was unfortunate, but not devastating. She jumped into action, hurrying down into the arena before any of the other soldiers could react.
"Thief, Armand, let's go," she ordered.
Armand heaved an aching sigh before shoving himself up to his knees, then his feet, needing a couple more. "Damn it. I'll try." straightening his back with a bit of an unsettling crack.
"Don't take all day," she said briskly, offering her arm in support. "In minutes the entire Society is going to be a bloodbath. You don't want to be here for that."
Petree sighed.
"Fine." she followed Nyir out. "Where's Yuki and Rowan?"
