"I'm a beautiful tragedy, Yuki. A damsel in distress, if you will. Besides you walk way too fast for me to keep up with! I practically have to run!" She complained a smirk on her face. After the long day, being carried through the halls felt nice. I could fall asleep right now. She mused peacefully.
“If you’re the damsel in distress then I’m the brave knight!” Yuki admired Rowan’s humor.
"Give me some time and we'll see who's really doing the saving." Rowan said smoothly, grinning and winking obnoxiously at Yuki before breaking off into more laughter.
"You know I'm not allowed to do fieldwork anymore.." Armand sighed. "You'll have time to apologize later, Kodiak. Don't worry about it." Armand's eyes flashed as he shifted. He traced a finger along the bar, looking at the sad sight. "You need to pull yourself together for the fight later." He stared Kodiak in the eyes, wondering if the Kodiak ever trusted him. Armand knew he could be abrasive, Nyir was one of the few who could deal with it.
"What? No- I can't!" Petree whined. "I'm- not- going- to- fight- Kodiak! Who made you so cruel?"
"Quit whining," Nyir said, "and understand that this isn't cruelty. This is mercy." She refused to speak anymore. Soldiers dragged Petree off to a cell.
Yuki didn’t even break a sweat as she carried Rowan down the halls. “Look who’s carrying who.”, she laughed. As they approached the hall that would lead them to Kodiak’s cell, her face grew serious and emotionless. “Ready to see Kodiak?”, she asked Rowan.
Rowan sighed and steeled herself. "Yeah, lets go." She said solemnly. Rowan shifted slightly in Yuki's arms, almost dreading their encounter. Hopefully he'd be okay.
(Ugh I'm supposed to be sleeping but I don't wanna miss anything! XC)
(@SincereBeastie dude go to bed you can't stay up all day/night :P)
Kodiak simply nodded and retreated back into the shadows. There was nothing left for him now but to accept his fate and wait for the dawn to arrive, where he would see his last sunrise.
(I knowwww. You guys better not break him out, this is gon' be funnnn! XD)
"Did you not just hear me you numbskull?" Armand glared at the man. "You don't have to worry, tch" his teeth clicked. "Whatever. You'll see." He quickly marched back to the entrance best he could on his tired sore leg, nodding to the guards. "No one but officials are coming in, or out," Armand barked sternly at the men. "S-sir that's always a rule," One of them timidly spoke, only granting them a glare from the man. "Well then make sure you enforce it," He warned them, his shoes tapping against the stone floor as he stormed back to his office.
Yuki put Rowan back down on her feet. She snuck behind a corner as she watched Armand walk out the prison door. He gave the guards a command to not let any one but officials in. She silently cursed under her breath. Rowan seems to trust him, but obviously he isn’t helping us in any way besides healing her. He is loyal to President Harris. If given the command to, he would hurt poor Rowan. “Stay close to me.”, Yuki said to Rowan.
Rowan nodded, unable to see past Yuki. "Is everything okay?" She whispered, seeing the concerned look on Yuki's face.
(hey
hey guys
pokes
word of advice
don't die)
(Word of advice to you… Just let us break you out so you don’t die!)
(actually Armand's got a plan :P although either way i'm going to bed it's friggin past 9 i clocked out 2 hours ago)
(Ok. Goodnight! Btw, I stay up late sometimes and almost always stay up on weekends.)
"Hey!" Petree tried her best to punch Nyir, "How is this mercy?"
She kept banging on her cell doors to show her point.
"I don't want to fight! Rowan! Yuki! Heeeellllp!"
She felt so ashamed that she had to call on her friends for help and not break out herself.
"Nyir-" she played her trump card. "Do you know what made me a rebel? I'm a- normal person, like you! You wouldn't do this to one of your own! I'm sorry I did all of those terrible things!"
She tried her best to sound sorry, which, by the way, she was NOT sorry.
"Sorry, thief," Nyir was already disappearing from her view, "its over."
"No, it's not. You're going down." Petree muttered under her breath, "Lets see who's sorry after the gladiator battle."
“Everything’s fine, Rowan.” Yuki didn’t want to worry Rowan. “Just be careful who you trust.”
"I will…" Rowan trailed off, still nervous. She tugged slightly on Yuki's sleeve.
Yuki turned to face Rowan. ”What is it?”, she asked Rowan. “And don’t worry about the guards, I’ll take them out.”
"Don't hurt them too much." Rowan mumbled in reply, biting down on her lip with anxiety.
