(Ok then. Goodnight!)
(Goodnight!)
Armand found himself in the forest outside the city walls, staring at a dead animal, a cat. Hands in his pockets he scanned over the creature with his artificial eyes, taking in the sad sight. He felt like that, sometimes. But it stopped bothering Armand a long time ago. He passed a hand through his crackling broken hair and sighed, trying to clear his mind today was impossible. What was he to do? After a while of not doing much, he gripped the stiff cold creature by the scruff, moving it away from the trail and burying it in a shallow grave with his hands, where the dirt was soft near a creek. He covered the body with rocks and stood for another short while, pondering. His hands still coated in dirt he started meandering slowly back to the gates. He was a target out here he knew, but he didn't really care.
Yuki walked with Rowan through the halls. Silence. The silence bothered her. She had been in silence her whole broken life when she was in her lonely cell. The only time it wasn’t silent was when she was being tortured. Yuki secretly hoped Rowan would start talking.
"Hey, Yuki?" Rowan started shyly. "How long have you known Kodiak?" She asked, struggling to keep pace with Yuki's long legs.
“Not for long. While I was in the torture camp I remember occasionally seeing him in the hallway. Didn’t really talk or know each other then.”, Yuki said. “How long have you known him?”, she asked.
Armand found himself walking towards the high security cells. He walked the quiet hallways until he reached the section, nodding to two officers that bordered the door to the area, and walking down the cells. There was an air of despair about the place. Finally, near the end of the hallway, he could see the cell they sent Kodiak to. Armand had made sure to remember the cell number; there were too many. He stopped at the edge of the man's cell, his golden eyes gazing in; he hadn't even thought of what he was going to say as he leaned against the bars.
"A little bit before we all met up in the woods. We ran into each other when we were on our way to the campsite." She chuckled at the memory. "I was in the middle of singing some awful pop song." Rowan smiled.
Yuki smiled. “Really? What song?”
"Katie Perry. I believe it was called Fireworks or something like that. And I could not hit the high notes." She broke into laughter. "Poor Kodiak thought I was in trouble and ran over to me." She shook her head softly.
(why is this me tho)
Yuki started laughing. “That’s a really old and really terrible song. I feel bad for Kodiak!”
(@Oakie you can reply to Armand if you'd like?)
(@Beastie isn't he in the woods though? Kodiak is locked up)
(Look at my latest post lol)
"Hey! It's good music!" Rowan protested, playfully punching Yuki in the arm. "You just don't appreciate good music!" She joked with a mock glare.
(oof i didn't see that :P)
"Armand?"
Kodiak sat dejectedly in the darkness on a small cot in the back of his cell, feet drawn up to his chest and eyes red from crying. "Armand, where is Nyir? I need to… apologize."
(The others are: Petree, Rowan, Yuki, and Nyir)
“It’s terrible music!” Yuki punched Rowan in the arm as lightly as she could.
She stumbled aside a little bit from the force of it, still giggling. "Careful, Yuki! I'm fragile!" She pretended to be offended with a dramatic gasp.
“I punched you lightly!”, Yuki joked.
"I'm injured." Rowan whined. "You ought to carry me to Kodiak." Rowan pouted, trying but to hold back a smirk.
Yuki laughed. “Do you really want me to carry you to Kodiak?”
"I wouldn't be opposed to the idea if you were to suggest it…" Rowan trailed off, sending Yuki a hopeful smile.
“Whatever.”, Yuki said with a smile. She lifted Rowan off her feet. “So from now on, you’re hurt”
