She turned towards Santiago as well, her gaze asking the same question.
She turned towards Santiago as well, her gaze asking the same question.
Santiago lowered his gaze towards the floor and shook his head. “No, Commander,” he mumbled softly.
Rylan kept her gaze on Santiago, her expression a mix of many emotions. {Did he tell them about me? This is what I get for trusting someone. . .} She turned her head away and tried to move, but her chains kept her in her spot.
Flynn was taken aback by her answer…did they really killed all her family? She didn't know about this part, she now felt sorry for the girl and had a new sense that told her to help the girl, something told her she had something.
Flynn saw how Rylan winced in pain because of her leg, that wasn't basically her fault but she felt like it was "Sorry about your leg" she said and as soon as she realized what she said her eyes widened, she didn't know if what she was doing was right, but for her, she still wanted to show that she was human
Rylan's gaze stayed hard, but softened a little at Flynn's comment. She nodded at her in thanks.
Commader Cardoso (Alec) stepped into the room once again, his posture straight and confident. The perfect Republic soldier. He looked at Flynn and then to Santiago. The commander turned back towards Rylan.
"You're interrogation is over for now. We will continue this tomorrow." He motioned towards the guards to open the door. "One more question. Do you work with the Patriots?"
Rylan fixed her hard amber eyes on him.
"I work alone."
He nodded once and turned to the door, ready to walk out.
Santiago couldn’t force himself to meet Rylan’s gaze. He told himself to snap out of it, that he was a soldier. He shouldn’t be feeling remorse for this. He should feel glad that they caught her. But he had formed some sort of bond with her at the time.
“Sangriento infierno, compañera,” he muttered, leaving the room.
"So" Flynn continued gathering back her posture. "Why do you keep messing with the government even tho you have nothing at your favor?" Flynn asked, but kept her tone soft to let her know she wasn't there to hurt her but to talk and get to know her
(im sorry that i procrastinate so much sorry)
Meanwhile, Samiel Allona was packing a bag in her apartment in Ruby sector. She wasn't running away, but she was doing something outlawed. She was bringing food to the people in the poor sectors.
Sami was dressed in all black, her crutches were set on the counter in front of her. She hated those things. They made her a target for the Republic, as they wanted to kill anyone with imperfections. They couldn't though, because she was rich. It would cause to much suspicion.
The bag she was packing was filled with food. Bread, canned soup, jars of jam, bags of dry ingredients. She packed a second bag after. Then a third. When she was done, she had packed eight bags in all. She stuffed all those into a large duffel bag, and slung it across her shoulders. She collected her crutches and headed to the fire escape.
Sami had done this so many times before that it was almost like second nature, and she could do it almost soundlessly. The hinges and the metal were all excessively greased, so no creaking or squeaking. She slid the ladder on the side down slowly and silently, then clamored down herself. She touched down, slid the ladder back up, and went for the shadows of the night, trusting them to mask her escape.
She made her usual run, delivering the bags to the most needy families, the ones with the skeletal children that need food so badly it hurt her to watch. Sami even managed to sneak a couple of plague suppressants into the bags. After she did her rounds, she headed back ti her apartment. As soon as she was up the fire escape and rolled through the window, a call rang on her house phone.
Lol it's ok
"It's called surviving, sweetheart." She replied, a small grin appearing. "But, most of it was just for 'fun.' I don't owe the Republic anything, after all."
"So" Flynn continued gathering back her posture. "Why do you keep messing with the government even tho you have nothing at your favor?" Flynn asked, but kept her tone soft to let her know she wasn't there to hurt her but to talk and get to know her
(Lol ignore this I posted it late)
Santiago sat out in the hall on a small bench, hands in his lap and his legs stretched out. He considered his options on the situation and exhaled slowly.
Alec motioned towards Flynn to step out of the room.
As Flynn turned to leave she called called out. "And you? Why do you help the Republic?"
( you can keep it )
(hahaha thx)
Alec met Flynn and Santiago in the halls.
"We'll continue to interrogate her. We need as much information on the Patriots as possible." He explained. "If we need to, we'll execute her and use her as an example for the rest of the criminals in the Republic. We don't need a skilled criminal like her running around the city."
Alec turned towards Flynn. "And do not take what she said to heart." He turned and walked out of the hallway, the sound of his boots filling the air.
Flynn was surprised at Alec's coldness, how could she just ignore that? hell nah she thought as she looked at Santiago hoping for the same response. Besides, she thinks that killing her wont help nothing at all but to just create more chaos amongst the people
Santiago’s eyebrows were raised in surprise and he didn’t speak until he knew that Alec was out of earshot. “This is insane.. When I talked to her, she was so kind and normal…” he huffed and got up from the bench, running a hand through his thick hair.
Rylan rested her head against the wall, her dark hair framing her face. She tried to move her leg, but gasped in pain. It was swollen and red with fresh blood gushing out. At this pace, it would be infected in a day.
"There must be a way to prevent this madness, we can`t just kill her without having a VERY good reason, that's out of moral" She said in a whisper scream
"I don't are what he says imma gonna call a nurse or something, that leg must be fixed if she wants to keep it" She said as she turned towards the doctor's office

*care
“I could go with you? Or I could stay and kind of calm her down? It will be hard getting her medical help if she resists,” Santiago explained. It was partly true. He mostly wanted to opportunity to talk to Rylan in general, but he would also try and get her to listen.
"yeah, do that, and try to talk to her, I need to know which side is the good guys, all this mess has me messed-up too" She said as she started to walk down the hallway, her boots making an echo that she somewhat enjoyed
Santiago nodded and opened the door, slipping inside and shutting it behind him. He took a seat in one of the other chairs in the room, his elbows rested on his knees. “So, Rylan Devera,” He said slowly, as he seemed to struggle with pronouncing her last name without his accent showing through completely. “You tricked me good, I had no idea it was you,” He said, laughing softly.
