Keri narrowly avoided running into the girl holding the soft gray kitten and continued her walk to the park, passing people from their town that she knew left and right. she saw a girl sitting on a bench that she didn't know saying something to herself. Keri walked over to a giant maple tree that had gnarled bark and limbs that were as big as a small tree and climbed up to her favorite branch where she could sit and watch the world go by. She pulled the book that she kept hidden in between the nook of two branches above her out and started reading.
Kate kept waiting and waiting until realized that he actually wasn't coming. Kate sighed sadly and got up.
Spencer strolled into the park, Julia on his shoulders. His expression was completely blank, contrasting the young girl's. She flashed him a toothy grin as a reminder to smile. Pretend.
Spencer did as he was warned as they came closer to a small playground in the distance. Crouching off the small pathway through the park, he allowed his sister to clamber down from his shoulders. Sighing, he stood, tucking his hands in his apparent "blue" jacket.
"You'll be okay, won't you…?" Julia asked quietly. He walked next to her towards a bench near the small jungle gym.
"You don't need to worry about that, Julie. It's my problem not yours," he said with a dull tone. He wanted to sound consoling, but it didn't work of course.
The young girl smiled weakly before running off to play.
(Kate's waiting for a guy friend.)
(Thought you meant someone's character lol)
(Nope, just a random side character lol)
Kate watched the little girl run off to the playground and did a half smile.
Keri watched as a guy about her age stooped down to let his little sister she guessed off of his back, they talked for a few moments then the girl ran off and the guy stood and watched for a little bit. Keri sighed and wondered what it was like to have a sibling to talk to and play with because she didn't have any. She leaned back on the tree branch she was using as a seat and sighed, "how does he do it? i can't even have a conversation with my mom for long before wanting to be alone for a while."
Viva sat down at one of the parks benches pulling our her sketchpad and charcoals. It's easier to work with them, easier to hide her inability with other colors. She quickly got to work sketching the grey world in front of her. Most people didn't realize, but grey was a nice medium to work with. Especially with how much depth it has, no they were all to busy parading there supremacy with colors.
Spencer felt a bit odd with the smile stretched over his features, but couldn't let it fall now. He was being watched. By everyone. Anyone who were to find out could easily report that he was emotionless and have him exiled in an instant. He wasn't quite sure as to what to do with himself, so he simply watched the world move around him. In that same miserable grey.
Sam walked into the park, his smile still plastered on his face. He saw a lot of happy people Color seers he thought staring at some of them before quickly looking away.
(Is it okay if I add blue to Kate's vision?)
(Yeah, as long as it's not: Oh I can see blue because I want, because it's based on emotion)
(Okie dokie. But can she develop the color right now, or does she have to already have the color?)
i say sure
(When we start the rp, put non replies in parenthesis or add 2 slashes to the end)
like both of these//
(Okie dokie. But can she develop the color right now, or does she have to already have the color?)
(It can be either. You can develop colors at any time, but if you want to have her see it now, you'd need a reason)
Keri was soon bored of sitting in the tree waiting for someone smart enough to see her, she hopped down and saw another guy walk into the park smiling like he had no care in the world. She brushed past him and started the walk back to her house and to the dreaded "colors" conversation that her mom was sure to start. She decided then and there that she wouldn't try to "see" colors anymore and that she would let them, if any, come to her. On her way back she also passed a girl bent over her sketch pad drawing a beautiful picture in charcoal and wished that she was that artistic.
(Besides that, your responses are exactly what the rp asks for!)
(I was thinking since her friend didn't come to see her, maybe she could develop the blue vision.)
(Because I'm a dark writer, I'm thinking something may happen to Julia… Sorry not sorry???)
Spencer let his false smile slip a bit as he watched his sibling chat with other younger kids her age. They all seemed so happy and energetic. Taking the right sleeve of his jacket, he began to fiddle with it, not knowing what else to do.
