Keri sobbed loudly on the kitchen floor and continued to press her hands to her eyes for a few minutes. once her eyes stopped throbbing she slowly opened them and gasped at how different the world looked with the color red in it. she started thinking about who would do something like this and couldn't think of anyone, so she finally stood up and wiped the tears from her eyes, wishing for revenge on whoever did this.
Kate bit her lip and awkwardly looked away, "Sorry, was that too much?"
Liam shook his head, "No, no. No ones ever told me that before."
Keri's vision was still blurry from the tears, but she decided to go outside anyway and tell her neighbor, since she didn't know what to do now, or who to tell about her parents.
Kate smiled softly and then she looked at her watch, "Crap, it's passed my curfew…" Kate got up quickly and brushed the grass off of her skirt. "I uh, gotta go… it was nice meeting you Liam!" Kate waved goodbye as she was running off to her neighborhood.
"Yeah, seeya." Liam wave a half wave back and sighed. He wondered why people had curfews as they were utterly useless to some people. Maybe it was because he didn't have one.
As the ambulance and police came to her house to investigate the crime scene, Keri started to walk into town to go to her favorite coffee shop and think the day over.
After a few minutes of walking in her neighborhood, she finally arrived at the entrance of her house. As she was standing near the door she was looking through her bag for her house key. When Kate found her house key in her bag she opened her door quietly so that her parents wouldn't hear her.
