"Fine. Fine, fine, fine," Sam sighed. "Mortals. Not worth my time. I'm Sam… who are you, oh so very insignificant one?"
"Fine. Fine, fine, fine," Sam sighed. "Mortals. Not worth my time. I'm Sam… who are you, oh so very insignificant one?"
" Oh My name is Zoe, but you won' t need to know since I am so insignicicant O Great or shall I lay my jacket on the ground so you can walk." Zoe mocked back as she quickly did a small curtsy.
Sam laughed like they were seeing a small puppy do something stupid. "We're elves. We live here. You're a fucking special snowflake. You're in danger. We have to take you here, otherwise, you're dead. Got it?"
( gtg for the night)
(bye, gtg)
( kk IM back.)
" What do you mean I'm in danger, what did I ever do to you?!" Zoe said in anger. I want to go home, but this is kind of cool She admitted in her head, but didn't say out loud.
The breath was sucked out of her as they spun and twisted, submerged in black.
Floyd’s breath caught in his throat. The blackness felt more solid than it should have.
Vozalynn tapped her foot impatiently as she stood outside the Foxfire grounds, waiting for the others. The school was gigantic. It was castle made out of crystal that changed colors depending on the time of day. Surrounding the building were acres of soft green grass and tall trees with pink leaves.
(Wait, did we skip forward?)
(no, Vozalynn went back to Dryadalum and told Wren to tell her mom. Vozalynn is gonna use a spyball to make sure Wren does it, then she'll go get her)
(Okay.)
Wren walked back to her house. She considered forgetting the whole thing happened, but decided against it.
She pushed through the door. Her mom was in the kitchen. "Hey, mom. I've got a crazy story to tell you."
Vozalynn sighed. Well, they'll be back soon. She quickly held up a dark red crystal, the one that would take her back home. It took only a few seconds before she got there. Vozalynn ran inside, grabbing the SpyBall from her desk in her room before running back out again and going back to Foxfire. I hope the others get here soon….
(Don't suppose Vozalynn could go ask Birah about why they need humans?)
"Really?" Robyn Mason asked her daughter. "Do tell."
"Okay, so I'm walking along outside and some short weirdo-"
"Wren, don't call people names like that, it's not nice."
"But she was short! Shorter than me! Any way, she walks up to me, grabs my arm, and tries to take me to someplace called Dryadalum. So I stomp on her foot and climb up a tree. From down on the ground, she explains she's an elf from a distant place and they need humans for something. I think she was just trying to kidnap me."
(yeah sure)
"She was an elf?" Robyn asked. "A real elf?"
"Yup, showed me some magic and everything."
"Oh my gosh."
"I'm not going with her until she comes back with an answer about why they need humans though."
"Good decision. I'd like to ask her some questions, too."
She jumped as Birah suddenly appeared next to her. "Birah! Stop doing that!" He laughed a little. "I'm a vanisher. It's what I do." Birah was one of the oldest teachers at Foxfire, but he had the personality and same sense of humor as someone Vozalynn's age. She rolled her eyes, looking back up at him.
"So you sent me to get this girl, Wren, right?"
He nodded. "Where is she by the way?"
Vozalynn showed him the SpyBall. "Right here. Why do you need them?"
Birah sighed. "I knew you'd ask eventually." He placed a hand on her shoulder and looked out ahead of them at seemingly nothing. "I told you and other elves your age to get those humans because…well…we need to test out some…items on them."
She looked up at him. "So they're…lab rats?" She used a phrase she remembered that humans used.
Birah nodded again. "Somewhat….yes. Some elves have created new serums that can potentially give humans the same abilities as elves. Maybe even turn them into one."
( DAY ONE OF BOREDOM
When she walked in,the door closed behind here. It was a plain room that only contained a desk and a chair that set next to a window. A clock hung on the plain wall. Tick Tock The sound it made as it was ticking down the time of her misery.
DAY TWO OF BOREDOM
She sighed as she laid her head down on the cold and hard metal desk. All she could do was wait. Tick Tock The sound echoed in her mind. A strand of her hair fell in front of her face and she blew it away.
DAY THREE OF BOREDOM
What seemed like 15 minutes felt like eternity since she entered this room. By this time she was using her breath to draw doodles on the window.
DAY FOUR OF BOREDOM
After awhile of doodling, she decided to stop and look out of the window to watch the world bustle below her. There she was in a lifeless room, where she could be in a world full of vibrant colors and excitement.
DAY FIVE OF BOREDOM
She found a pencil that she hadn't seen before. In interest she rolled it around with her finger and made it her new personal game. Don't let it fall off the table.'
DAY SIX OF BOREDOM
It wasn't long before she got bored of it like the other games. She clicked the mechanical pencil Tick Tock The clock made in the background. Her eyelids drooped as she tried not to fall asleep.
DAY SEVEN OF BOREDOM
She started to drum her fingers against the edge of the desk while tapping her feet. Trying to make a beat and fill the air with music. After awhile her fingers started to hurt so she stopped.
THIS IS HOW BOOORRREEEDDD I AM!)
(I'm not sure Robyn would agree with her daughter being a lab rat…)
(yes but she might get powers…..)
(Might have use a memory charm on that family though…)
Vozalynn looked back up at Birah. "Well, I better go back." She handed him the SpyBall. "Let me know if anyone else gets back." She held up the black crystal again and waited for it to take her back to the Lost Cities.
