Laurel felt frustration welling up inside her. “You’re in danger here! Just come, and once you learn magic, you might be able to see them again! Not interact, though.”

“This is crazy..” Floyd muttered, running his hands over his face.
Laurel’s patience snapped. “Are you coming or not?!”
Vozalynn sighed, lowering her arm. "Alright Wren, go tell your mom. Then you're coming with me." She didn't believe that the younger girl's mother would believe all this.
Floyd exhaled sharply, thinking it all over for a moment. He would do his best to get back as soon as possible. “Yeah, fine.”
Finally. Laurel held the crystal up to the light and they were inveloped in a translucent bubble.
Floyd watched at the bubble went over them. “What’s your name anyways, huh?”
“Laurel.”, she told him, concentrating. A second later, they were being sucked through the darkness.
Vozalynn didn't want to waste time here. "Okay, you go find your mom. I'm going back to Dryadalum. I'll know when you tell her." She planned on asking for a SpyBall (an enchanted object that spys on someone) later. She waved goodbye to Wren as she held the light blue crystal up to the sun. It only took a few seconds before the bubble trapped her and sent her back to Foxfire, where she had been before coming to the Lost Cities.
Floyd was about to respond when he seemed to grown slightly dizzy, everything around him getting dark. He was fairly sure he was still conscious, but not completely.
The breath was sucked out of her as they spun and twisted, submerged in black.
It was another five minutes before Vozalynn got back to Foxfire. She rubbed her head, a little dizzy from the trip.
Maddie panicked about where her friend had gone. "Floyd , FLOYD." However he was nowhere to be seen. "FLoyd where did you go, please answer." SHe was close to tears at the thought of losing her friend
Sam smirked, seeing the girl at the corner they were walking by to look for her. "To hell," they said sarcastically, stopping right in front of her.
(Who the heck is they?)
Maddie heard footsteps behind her and whirled around to find the wierdo from school. "Who the heck are you and are you trying to stall me!?!" She asked them. She wasn't exactly in a good mood after her friend had been taken from her.
(Who the heck is they?)
(That character doesn’t have a gender, so “they” is a pronoun used instead of “He” or “she”)
(Oh sorry, i didn know.)
(It’s all good)

"Samine Samudrala, known by my friends as the devil, at your service," Sam tipped their top hat mockingly at Maddie, bursting into laughter. "Nah, I'm kidding. I have to take you to magical elf-land full of fairies, so get your shit together and let's go,"
Maddie sqinted at the funny looking girl in front of her. " Is this some kind of joke? Now if you excuse me I shall be going now."
Sam held an amber crystal up to the light, ignoring Maddie. "To Dryadalum!" they shouted, pointedly ignoring her. The two were enveloped in a translucent bubble. When it grew too big and popped, they were not inside.
" Wait, what!?!." that was the only thing she managed to say before they teleported." Where the heck am I !?!" She shouted, surveying the unknown land around them.
"Hell," Sam said savagely, stalking off. "Come on, I need to introduce you to your adoptive parents,"
" What!?! Why in the universe am I going with you!?" She shouted accusingly at him. " Especially if I never see my parents again!" She backed away from Sam.
