(Okay, that's fine.)
(Okay, that's fine.)
(Are you starting?)
(Yes, I'll start writing now.)
Aurelius was perched on Nox's back like a little bird. He had no grip on her, and nothing but the black dragon's back separated him from the two-hundred-foot drop. Yet, he was entirely comfortable and happy to be alone with her. Sometimes being back at the village was quite tiring. Lots of expectations waited back there, but out here on patrol, he could focus. Many of the others would have been bored; patrol often meant just this. No threats were nearby. There was no one to turn back- just a young man, his dragon, and the sky and forest.
He sat back down a little more firmly and guided Nox closer to the trees below, and together they weaved between pines and rocks.
Auri, get back to work, Nox warned.
"It's fine. I'm paying perfect attention."
Nox huffed, puffing a little smoke from her nose.
Lucky walked into the forest and fixed her hood. She walked to a plant and started breaking off a few branches. She felt eyes on her but when she go up to see who it was, she saw nothing but darkness. Shrugging the feeling off, she ventured further into the forest and picked a few other ingredients.
(Gtg sleep. It’s 11:37pm here and I have to wake up at 7 because we’re leaving tomorrow)
(That's fine. It's almost 2 here, so that's kind of a sign I need to not stay up forever.)
(Lmao night!)
Marahasi had jumped in the river to hide from the people wanting to sacrifice her. She was going to sit around and let them do as they please, like the past sacrifices. The water was freezing, so cold it took most of her breath away as soon as she got in. Air was all she wanted as she stayed low in the water till they left. Voices were heard above water, just standing there, talking. Opening her eyes she started to swim in a random direction, knowing she could hold her breath forever. The further she swam the darker it got, it got so dark she couldn't see under the water anymore. Thinking she was a good distance away she came popping out of the water gasping for air, her throat burned and her body was shaking due to the cold. Her village had this thing where the put a special crown on the heads of those who were going to die and she hated it! Now she knows it's really heavy when wet. Ripping off her head she set it on the rock in front of her and then she climbed up herself. She now noticed she was in a sea level cave. Looking around she didn't see much, until a few seconds later where she saw a faint glow, and a deep growling noise in the distance. "Wonderful.. now I'm in a cave with something I can't see."
(Sorry it's long. I'll write a bit more in a second. Then maybe I can meet you guys where ever you are.)
You have to go back, Farron, Ysethen said, bringing them both down to the ground.
“Get up and fly you stupid thing!” Farron said, kicking the dragon in the side who in turn, just knocked him off. He landed to the ground with an oof, “What the heck!”
Farron Utarian stop being a child. Farron rolled his eyes and stood, dusting off his clothes, You're a knight for gods sake so act like one!
Ysethen sat and looked at Farron, his head cocked to one side slightly but the annoyance was still there.
(Are you in the forest? Maybe mine and your character could bump into each other.)
(Sure, thing! Maybe your character could hear Farron complaining)
(Okay! It's going to be a bit long, only because she is just now meeting her dragon. But it will get shorter, so it won't be as annoying. I hope that's okay?)
(Yup, that’s totally fine!)
(I'm so, so sorry it's so long. I'm a detail kind of person. It won't always be this long I promise.)
She was infatuated, by the blue and green glow. It was like it was calling her, the low growling still continued. But, the lights are what she liked and she just half to know what it was. Her feet began to walk across the rocks to the other side of the cave. As she neared the lights, they began to shimmer as the feathers on the dragon stood, sending a warning not to come closer. "It's okay." Marahasi got a bit closer and saw its light blue eyes. The dragons eyes followed her every movement, ready to strike if Marahasi was a threat. "I see you are alone as well." The dragons growl was close to and alligators and it had fangs like a snakes. Shivers ran up her body when the wind in the cave blew over her. Why was the water so cold? It's not winter. The dragon that was growling moments ago was now wrapping its body around Marahasi. "Thank you." It chirped like a bird this time. "You have some good vocals there if you can go from a low growl to a chirp." Marahasi laughed. "We need to get out of here before the find me and you. My people haven't seen a dragon in a while, so I'm not sure what they would do if the found you." The dragon stood and so did Mara. It chirped again and Marahasi knew what it was saying. Without hesitation she jumped on his back and he began to swim with ease, even against the tide. "I should give you a name." As the dragon rematch the other side l, people's voices could be heard. "There she is, and she has a dragon!" She turned back to see her people chasing after her. "Go!" An elk sound came from the dragon this time, just a bit higher, it was ear piercing. "Riven, that's what I'll call you." Marahasi almost fell off when he started running. She didn't imagine dragons could be this fast. "Why don't you fly?" Riven took to the air, it he barely 6 feet off the ground and he could only fly for about 30 minutes. "Yeah, maybe you should stick to running." Him running was much faster. Hair blowing in the wind, Mara threw her hands in the air. This was the most free she felt in a long time. "Whoo hoo!" She shouted as they ran into a forest.
(Ahaha, it’s fine, don’t worry)
FARRON I SWEAR TO GOD! Ysethen called as he followed Farron into the forest. Farron laughed, “Let me have my fun, I never do. Your always tell me in too serious.” He said, weaving through the trees.
This isn’t what I meant, I meant maybe smiling a bit more. His dragon called after him. Farron turned back and flashed him a grin, Not to me idiot but to other people!
Riven, slow down!" Mara was clinging to his neck for dear life. Him being this fast definitely made up for his lack of flying. Mara heard a voice in the distance. "Seriously, slowdown." Riven came to a sudden stop, making Mara fly forward onto the ground. "Um, not cool." Riven chirp, proud of himself. "So you're this kind of dragon. Again she heard a voice and she wanted to know who it was. "Come on." She decided to walk because she had no idea what Riven would do to her next. Hiding in the trees she saw a guy with a dragon. "Can he talk to them as well?" Riven made a cooing sound. "What? No, you go out there first." Movng behind her Riven pushed her out into the open, and Mara landed on her face.
“Ysethen I-“ Farron stopped and his smile disappeared, “Uh, you alright there?” Farron asked, walking over to the girl who had just fallen face first onto the ground.
Obviously not idiot. Ysethen rolled his eyes and Farron made a vulgar gesture towards the dragon.
Quickly Mara stood and pushed her white hair out of her face. "Wow, that really woke me up." She laughed awkwardly then cleared her throat. She smiled and did an innocent pose, though she really need too. This is her first time meeting someone outside her village. Riven trotted out, chirping though it sounded more like he was laughing. "Riven you jokester." She punch the side of her dragon playfully. And he nudged back with his head knocking her over again. Mara was small and could easily be knocked over.
“Here.” Farron held out his hand to the girl to help her out, “Looks like you’ve got a dragon who enjoys mucking around.” He said, “probably better then a serious one. Ysethen grunted, I’m not that serious! “Shut it mate.” Farron said over his shoulder.
"Ah, thank you." She took his hand and stood. With her still being kind of wet, dirt stuck to her making her white hair look brown. "Looks like I do. We only met about 30 minutes ago, so I'm still getting to know him." She glared at the dragon. Riven wrapped around her setting his big head on Mara's shoulder weighing her down a bit. "Did you really have to do that in front of a cute guy?" She whispered, and Riven grunted. "My name is Mara." She held out a hand.
“Farron and that bastard behind me is Ysethen.” He shook her hand and jerked his thumb towards his dragon who had his mouth open like a gaping fish but quickly closed it. He looked huge compared to the other dragon, intimidating was one word for it. Ysethen grumbled something that set Farron chocking on a laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Mara was surprised by the sudden laughter. "Is it me? Do I look weird?" She turned to Riven. "This is your fault Riven!" She felt embarrassed and her face turned red, which was very visible because of her pale skin. Mara tried her best to hide her face.
“No, no it’s not you, you’re beautiful,” Farron said turning his back to Mara and crossed his arms as he looked at his dragon, Ysethen held his front claws up in a way that a human does when they are trying to look innocent, Wasn’t me.
“Yes it was you bastard.” FArron said to his dragon who let out a noise that sounded like a laugh.
Riven hid Mara when he wrapped around her. His feathers stood up and made the same deep growling sound when him and Mara first met. Staring down Ysethen. Riven played around with her, but was protective of her if another person or dragon made her feel this way. "Ah, Riven I'm okay, seriously calm down." Mara had to jump up and down to see Farron. "Sorry about this!" She was still trying to understand Riven and work out his personality.
“Ah, don’t worry about it. I went through the same thing when I met Ysethen.” He said, turning back to Mara. Ysethen came up behind Farron and he seemed to tower over them all. His silver markings glistened in the sun, “You’ll get used to it, you both will.”
