(sorry for the wait guys;; I can respond today hopefully)
( also I don't mind if Raisuke gets discovered )
He sighed softly, knowing she wouldn't budge despite what he saw her doing. He would keep it to himself…for now. It's possible that they already knew of her presence there…and if they didn't? He wouldn't mind telling them about what he had seen.
He walked into the room as well, listening to the girls report before she stood at attention, he nodded to the two officials standing Infront of him.
"I got your message, and I'm here. What is it that you need me to do?" He spoke, his monotoned voice sounding off as usual. He was sure that he would be ordered to kill someone even if it wasn't a traitor.
(Yayyy! Okay I will respond soon hopefully)
((Lili wasn't eavesdropping-))
(then tell dexter that, Im not the one that needs to be convinced of that lol. Hes not trusting, so he thinks she was ease dropping.)
(( she was literally just standing there. No ear to the door, no intense focus on the door, literally just standing- like everyone does when waiting for the boss. Dustin is strange.))
(Arabelle’s office is soundproof and I think all of the characters would know this, so)
(sorry I meant dustin, I got names confused.)
(Also, I must have misread your post because I thought she was easedropping at first, though after a double take I did notice that she wasn't doing anything like I thought she was… Which is my bad.)
(Though it's not as if he outwardly accused her of easedropping. we can just retcon any mention of him thinking she was easedropping as I was just wanting to get a post out. Though I will say, not to be rude, that Dustin is extremely distrustful of people. So if the door wasn't sound proof, then he would suspicious of her just standing there, since he dosent trust anyone.)
(Yeah, I got that. I thought it was Dustin, but then you said Dexter and I got confused.)
(Ooookay let’s move on)
Arabelle’s gaze moved to the door. She brought her hands together and entwined her fingers. “Siderfell,” she greeted evenly. Looking at the ring, she nodded. “Good work.“ She took the ring and inspected it, then lowered her hand and looked at Dustin.
“Thank you for coming, King. Some important matters have come up and I think you’re just the guy we need.” She opened a drawer in her desk and fiddled with something. “Just take a look at this for now.”
Arabelle handed Dustin Lily’s file, folded up. Then she looked at the ring and put it back on the desk, pushing it toward the girl. “Keep it. It’s a war prize, you know.” She smiled. “You’ll be notified of your next assignment. For now, take it easy.”
Lili nodded, taking the ring and slipping it back into her pocket. She glanced at the file handed to Dustin, but her gaze didn't linger. "Will do. I'll be in the shooting range, I've been experimenting with the shape of my blowdarts. May I take my leave?" Lili asked, genuinely wanting to see if her more lethal shape of the darts would still fly straight. She had no problems with poisoning the ends as she normally did, but that posed risks for mistaking tranquilizer treated darts with the lethally treated darts.
Dustin nodded to everything they were saying, taking the file into his hands and then sliding it under his arm so that Lily wouldn't be able to get much of a glance at it. He hadn't glanced at the name on the file yet, he just didn't like the idea of her seeing a file he was given.
"Is there anything else you need of me besides this file?" He spoke, waiting until everyone had finished talking to pose his question. He would wait a few seconds until the girl left the room, just to make sure he wasn't missing out on any details that weren't for any ears but his.
(Guys help I'm sorry if this writing is crap Im rusty)
Dove stayed silent throughout the exchange. She watched both Lili and Dustin with the same cold stare she used for everyone. Through keen observation, Dove noticed the girl's drifting eyes and the male's subtle defensiveness. She made a mental note of that and crossed her arms, tapping her fingers on her arm.
(Literally just filler 🤦♀️)
“Yes, yes, go on.” She waved Lili away. The ring should be a good enough bug, at least for a little while. Arabelle turned to Dustin.
“Yes. We might wait until some other members arrive, but if not, just you will do.” She gave him a pointed look.
Lili nodded, heading out to the shooting range as she said. She was, in fact, working with her blowdarts
