"S-sure." A band-aid was unlikely to be enough, but Jay rinsed off his hand and put it on anyways. The water made the wound sting, but he said nothing.

"Do you mind showing me where it is?" Zanna asked Jay, "Still new here."
(I gtg to bed now, be back tomorrow)
"Yeah, sure." Jay quietly led the way to the library. He had gone there fairly often to observe people while pretending to read.
(See ya tomorrow!)
"Thanks," Zanna followed Jay to the library.
Oops I missed a lot! Pretend Morrigan fell asleep, she hasn’t slept in 72 hours and drinks a ton of caffeine)
(Makes sense. Pretend Zanna left a note for Morrigan saying where they were going.)
(Okies! Morrigan has a fear of sleeping because of nightmares. She’s not the healthiest person, and if you look closely you’ll see that she’s not entirely sane)
(Oh I have seen that, Zanna hasn't quite figured it out yet.)
(I can’t wait for that to happen XD. Also for a few hallucinations…………)
Jay sat down at an empty table in the corner, looking up at Zanna for instruction.
Zanna sat down next to him. They pulled out two pieces of paper. One they handed to Jay, the other they began to write the alphabet on. Once done they put the other piece of paper in front of Jay and told him, "I want you to copy this down on your piece of paper. It doesn't have to look pretty, just readable."
"Okay." Yeah, 'readable'. You can't read either, stupid. You don't even know what these are. Shut up. He copied down the letters to the best of his ability, frequently looking between the papers to make sure he had done it right. You did it wrong. No I didn't, be quiet.
"That looks great Jay!" Zanna looked up at him, "Now, what you just copied down is the alphabet. The base to both reading and writing."
"Okay…. so I put them in different orders and it makes words somehow?" He looked down at the mediocre alphabet he had written. You sound like an idiot. You're the only person your age this stupid. Preschoolers are smarter than you. Shut UP. Just let me be for once.
"Yeah," Zanna shrugged, "It language is weird like that. But first you should figure out what each letter is. Do you know? It's fine if you don't."
Jay hesitated before shaking his head. "I've seen them before when I'm pretending to read, but I don't know what they are." Stupid. Go AWAY.
"Okay, well if I said one out loud do you think you can recognize it on the paper?"
"If you said them in order." Jay laughed weakly, looking down at the paper.
Zanna chuckled quietly, "Okay so which is A?"
"Is it the first one? If it's not, then I don't know." Idiot. You're not even trying. I am trying! Just go to the back of my mind for a while. No thanks. Well that worked well.
"Yeah it is," Zanna smiled, "Now find B."
"The… next one?" He pointed to the letter next to what was apparently 'A'.
"Yeah," Zanna kept going, "C?"
He kept going down the line, hoping Zanna was just going in the correct order. Well, stupid, you have to remember all of these too. Oh… yeah… It took you that long to realize? You really are dumb.
"That's right. D?"
