"Aye aye," he responded, getting out of his car and opening her door for her, waiting for Brooke to get out.

(Lol. It's fine, don't worry about it. I just go reread one of my favorite RPs when I'm bored. Or I listen to my sister and her friend talk about how the friend is an "organic potato fry"…)
"Thanks!" Brooke said, stepping out while she simultaneously pulled her jets from her purse. They jangled as she looked for the one that opened her apartment door.
Once she found it, ago unlocked the door and held it open for Jacob. They'd have to go up two flights of stairs to get to her actual suite.
He went inside, admiring the architecture.

Brooke unlocked another door and stepped into her apartment.
"Okay. So, food is in the kitchen, obviously, and you can just feel free to make yourself at home, as usual," she declared, pulling her shoes off and setting them by the door. She hung her purse up above them and continued, "Should we watch a movie, or a show, or what?"
(Your Skittles picture is back!)
(Skittles.)
(Yes I have changed to the Skittles pic… I missed it and the paper bag was making me sad.)
He kicked off his shoes, looking up at her as she spoke.
"It doesn't really matter which," he shrugged. "I guess a movie?"
"Sounds good. We'll have to figure out what's good on Netflix," Brooke said, making her way to the kitchen. "Now… Snacks… Popcorn? Does that sound okay?"
Jacob smiled at her behavior. "It sounds great, Brooke."
Brooke turned back around to smile at Jacob, noticing the look on his face as she did so.
"What?" she asked, still smiling.
He blushed when she noticed the fond look on his face.
"N-Nothing. Continue on."
"Oh. Okay," Brooke said with a shrug as she turned to step into the kitchen. She hummed as she found what she needed for popcorn.
"Anything I can I can help with?" he offered, feeling a bit awkward just standing there.
Brooke looked around for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, actually. If you want to grab the butter from the fridge and put about two tablespoons into this pot–" She lifted up the pot she was about to set on the stove. "–that would be nice. And then grab the measuring cups from the drawer by the fridge; I'll need them to measure the popcorn kernels."
Jake opened the fridge, grabbing the butter and setting it down on the counter. Dumping two tablespoons of butter in as directed, he then opened said drawer and picked up the measuring cups, handing them to her.
Brooke had gotten the rest of the things needed out while Jake was doing what she'd asked. She thanked him with a smile before dumping popcorn kernels into the pot.
"Have you ever made popcorn this way?" she asked while they waited for it to pop. "I just learned, like, last week, and I've already done it twice. I like it better than the prepackaged stuff now."
"I've never done it this way, no," he admitted. "I'm sure it's great if you prefer it."
Sniffing the air, he had to say… it smelled good.
(It worked! Lol.)
"Sometimes I use coconut oil instead of butter to pop it, but I didn't feel like doing that today," Brooke explained as she peeked over at the pot full of popping popcorn. It was almost finished.
Jake hummed in response, eyeing the pot hungrily. He hadn't eaten much today.
Brooke glanced over at Jacob and smiled.
"Be patient, it's almost done," she laughed.
"If you say so…"
As if to prove Brooke's point, the popping slowed until it only popped once every few seconds.
"Voila!" Brooke exclaimed, swiftly taking the lid off the pot. The smell of popcorn filled the air even more than it had been before, and Brooke closed her eyes as she used the lid to fan the smell towards her. "Mmm…"
"Ahh…" Jake took the smell in gladly. "You want me to get a bowl?"
"Yeah, please. I'll melt some butter to put over it," Brooke said, moving to do just that.
