Soon enough, he was pulling up into the parking lot. Drumming his fingers against the steering wheel, he looked through the windows, hoping to find Brooke.

(Lol. Sorry, I was at a meeting.)

Brooke tapped her foot in slight impatience. When was Jacob going to get there? She glanced out the window at the parking lot, searching for his car. Smiling, she saw it and walked out, waving at him.

(It okie)

He lit up when Brooke came out, waving back.

Brooke hurried over, grinning at her boyfriend when she reached him.

"Hey, Jake! Thanks for picking me up," she greeted him.

(Agh… I was gone ALL day yesterday so…)

"No problem," he responded. Though she looked nice in her work clothes, it felt good to have her wearing her usual outfit again.

(Lol. It's fine. I'm dealing with anxiety-filled family problems, so idk how much I'll be on.)

"So, where to now?" Brooke asked. "I'd kinda like to get new clothes for the day, so maybe my place?"

(Okie dokie!)

"Sounds good," he agreed, backing out of his parking spot.

"So, how was your day? What'd you do while waiting to pick me up?" Brooke asked.

He smiled guiltily. "I might have slept until Jade woke me up an hour before I had to pick you up?"

Brooke laughed. "Are you serious? Jake, c'mon! You just slept the day away?"

Jacob blushed in embarrassment. "Not the whole day…" he mumbled in his defense.

"Aw, hey. It's okay. I'd probably not have done much better, honestly. I just watch TV all day…" Brooke admitted sheepishly.

He laughed. "It's alright; I really did sleep a majority of the day away. I didn't even get up on my own, Jade had to shake me awake…"

"Hm. Maybe we should just be lazy together, then," Brooke suggested with a small smile. "At least that way we can pretend we're being productive…"

"We must not tell anyone," Jake said, grinning wide.

"Never!" Brooke laughed. "Don't forget to turn left here."

"Oh, shoot." Jacob turned as the light flicked green, barely making it. "I was about to miss it."

"So are we just gonna 'Netflix and chill' when we get to my place, or did you want to do something else?" Brooke wondered once they were almost to her apartment.

"Netflix and chill sounds good, but if you want to do something else, we can. I believe we've decided to make the rest of today a lazy day though, so keep that in mind."

Brooke giggled. "Okay, yeah. That sounds like a perfect idea. And we can begin in about 2 minutes!" she exclaimed as they pulled into the parking lot of her apartment building.

(Well I'm enjoying being called Skittles…)

He giggled at their silliness. "Have any note-worthy snacks?"

(Lol.)

"Heck yeah! C'mon, let's go inside. Then we can raid my kitchen," Brooke declared, grinning.
