"I forgive you." Mariko hugged herself and brought her feet to the edge of her seat. Running her fingers through her hair, she began to sing to herself in the barest of a whisper, "If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied, and illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs, if there's no one beside you when your soul embarks, then I'll follow you into the dark."
There was an awkward silence, or almost a silence. Micah heard a soft humming noise coming from Mariko's direction. He couldn't make out all the words, but the tune sounded great. "That sounds nice. The singing, I mean."
Mariko nodded, "I sing. Sometimes." she looked at Micah, "I'm sorry, I'll stop."
"No, no it's fine. I like it." Micah smiled at her. "It really helps me focus on something else. A lot has happened for me today."
"Thanks." Mariko smiled at him, but she didn't resume singing for the fear of causing Micah to not like her anymore.
Micah leaned back and looked up at the ceiling. "So, how far away do you think we are from…wherever."
"Possibly two hours." Mariko squeezed her eyes shut, as she didn't want to look at the text telling her that she was blushing and her brain was releasing a chemical compound made up of Dopamine, Norepinephrine, and Serotonin.
Micah sighed, pulling out the metal ball and transforming it back into a rubix cube. He began fiddling with it, staying silent for a moment before he turned back to Mariko. "I've never been good with these." Micah gestured to the cube.
"What's that?" Mariko pointed at the weird colorful cube.
"A rubix cube. You have to get all of one color on each side." Micah groaned as he look at the mismatched colored squares.
"You're not having much luck, are you?" Mariko raised an eyebrow.
"Not really. I fit gears and wheels together, not colored squares." Micah told her.
Mariko came over to him, "I f-fit in lines of code. I'm a t-techy, not a mechanic."
"I'm more of a tinker. I tend to make the same few things over and over, adding more stuff as I go along." Micah twisted one side of the cube. "You know, if we worked together we could probably make a really cool gadget like your arm."
(is your character anywhere now?)
(if not, they could be on the bus)
(okay maybe my character could get kid napped by everyone?)
(that would work but I have to go for now so bye!)
Phoebe stumbled momentarily on the bus, quickly regaining her footing.
"S-sounds cool," Mariko smiled.
ellis awoke startled wondering what was going on?
one minute she had been napping in her seat and now the bus was moving.
Marco hopped down into the bus and sat in the back, carefully listening to Mariko and Micah's conversation. "Lovebirds." He muttered.
"I hope you don't mind, but I'm exhausted." Micah curled his legs up in his seat and leaned back. "Wake me up when we get there."
