Micah sighed, pulling a small metal ball out of his inside jacket pocket. "I have this if you want to play with it while we go." He pushed a button on the side and it turned into a rubix cube. "I haven't gotten it to do anything else yet."
Marco takes it and smiles in concentration. "Oh. Cool thing, dude."
Micah smiled. Marco seemed to have completely forgotten about what happened in the classroom. "Thanks."
Phoebe smiled, waving Mariko over again.
"I don't think she can see us." Micah stated.
Mariko stared at them. What did they want? She wasn't going to ask, it would cause people to look at them.
Micah waved frantically at her. He pointed to her, raised his hand up, then pointed to where he was standing. 'Come here.' He mouthed.
Mariko frowned, her brow furrowed. 'There?' she mouthed pointing at Micah.
Micah nodded. 'Grandpa.' He said silently, hoping she'd understand.
(I’m on, just waiting for @Nerd to answer)
(I'm on waiting to come into the story.)
Mariko pulled off her hand and pressed a button, turning it into a small platform that she stepped on and it boosted her up. She popped the hand back into her wrist and took a bow.
Micah applauded, laughing. "Cool. I need to get my hands on technology like that."
Phoebe blinked, shocked and mildly entertained. “Hi, I’m Phoebe.”, she greeted.
"You're lucky you at least have a hand." Mariko looked at her own hand, "With blood running through the veins instead of it needing to be oiled every Saturday."
Micah shrugged awkwardly and mumbled. "It's still really cool."
Marco looked up from Micah's toy, "be thankful for what you have. Name's Marco, the least fantasizing person you'll ever meet."
Phoebe resisted a smile. She seems like a good one.”You on the run too?”
"Maybe. M-my name's Mariko." she extended a hand, "And you, Marco, s-smell like ice. Phoebe smells like, paper and p-pencil and like she has a tally mark s-somewhere." Mariko shrugged, "Unless my cyber-nose is wrong, I guess."
Phoebe shook Mariko’s hand. “No, you’re right. Just got my second one. You?”
"Nope not wrong at all." Marco shrugged and took her hand.
