Mercy returned his eye roll with one of her own. ”I trust you, no need to get defensive. I would like to stay with Rune if you don't have any objections.” She said honestly, with no sass or disrespect to her friends.
"okay."
He says walking out
"we should really get going."
Rune croaked her affirmation, recognizing the word go.
Finneas set aside the bag to place his hand on Rune's shoulder, "You know where to find me, Birdie," he smiled contently, "I'll see you soon."
Mercy smiled softly before handing Finneas her number. ”Just give me a call so we know when to expect a visit.”
She lead Rune towards the rest of their little group, giving Finneas one last goodbye.
Finneas took the number, "Thank you…you'll definitely be hearing from me." he dipped his head and murmured one last verbal goodbye to Rune.
"Goodbye," Rune croaked back, reluctantly following her friends.
(Pokes @_Write_Where_I_Wanna_Be I think we're following you.)
(Ah sorry i thought I posted!)
Leading them to the mill, the portal was still there, but if they didn't get in soon, he would have to open another one. Stepping into the portal after Naide who was oh so eager to go in…she just wanted to go home. She wasn't used to dealing with people.
Mercy’s eyes flickered to a slight yellow seeing the portal. She was a bit apprehensive about using that method of travel again. It would be easy enough to alter her body to be unharmed, however she was struggling to figure out what changes would work best. Her lungs were obvious enough, but she was unsure about her bone structure and muscles.
“Ah, screw it.” She muttered. Holding Rune’s hand, she darted through holding her breath, fully expecting another headache.
Rune clutched onto Mercy, burying her face into her shoulder while they jumped through the portal. She didn’t like this form of travel; it was uncomfortable and disorienting, but her human bones seemed to deal with it better than her raven bones would, so that was a plus.
It didnt effect Naide or Young-Jae one bit, although they were from another planet, universe, whatever you wanna call it.
Naide was waiting for them all to go in, flicking Young-Jae playfully in the forhead once he got back.
Once on solid ground Mercy closed her eyes and took several deep steadying breaths.
“No offense Young-Jae, but I am not a fan of your method of travel.” She commented, certain that her stomach had settled enough. “Rune, are you alright?”
"well, sorry"
He says looking away, rubbing his forhead right below his third eye where Naide flicked.
"i dont usually try to help people get places"
He says walking down the street, but stopping to see if the others were all there.
Rune nodded to Mercy and let go of her arm. She glanced around to her new friends, stuffing her hands in her pants pockets like she’s seen other people do.
Mercy hummed in acknowledgement. She usually didn’t show of her abilities much either. Remembering her current form she looked to make sure nobody else would she, she shifted her height down to an average 5’7”.
“Are we heading back to your home then?”
"i guess… although we did go to the mall for a reason in the first place. So if we want to go there we can"
He says turning around and looking at her, his hair falling in front of the eye on his forhead.
“The mall…had clothes.” Rune recalled, “I want clothes.” She was a bit uncomfortable in the clothes she wore now. They were too close against her skin, too tight.
"okay then, lets go buy some clothes"
He says spinning around on his heal and making his way to the mall.
Mercy had a grateful smile as she followed her friends to the mall. She didn’t know if she should say anything but she was proud of Rune. Her speech was improving.
(Sorry for the short response guys. Stuck at work right now.)
(Np!)
Rune observed the others' walking patterns and attempted to mimic them. Her attempts were stiff, and somewhat forced, but the more she observed, the more human her movements appeared.
(Since no one has said anything, should we do a time skip to the mall?)
(Well they weren't far from the mall at all but okay)
Once they arrived at the mall, Young-Jae didn't care what they did. As long as they didn't spend all of his money. Which wasn't going to be hard to get back, but still.
The mall was not a place Mercy frequently visited as none of the clothes sold could accommodate her shapeshifting. All the clothes she wore had come with her from her world and could actually be changed themselves if she needed them to.
She had been at the mall before today but mostly for observation and occasionally trying the food that was sold.
