When Hunter pulled the key from the bag a little peace of paper fell to the ground. In a silent sort of way.

Hunter didn’t notice at first, and then as she was leaning down to pick up his bag, she saw it. She picked it up, curious.

There was one word on the outside of it that read "Hunter."

Hunter blinked. Was this for her? She slowly unfolded it, while Order moved about the cave, gathering supplies.

It was a letter. And yes it was for her.

Hey Hunter,
If you're reading this it probably means I'm dead, or dying. Either way, I probably am not around. And yeah, I know we did not always get along, and quite honestly we might never fully see eye to eye. But you know what? That's okay. I had a little fun. I met someone who understood what it was like to always be alone, or to be hated by everyone. I dragged you down a cliff. I almost got you to kill me like four times. Or more. The point is I might not always be there, hell I can't always be there. But the memory will stay. I don't know what your father is like, but I know you're stronger then him. Strength comes in more ways then physically. You are smart and clever and powerful. Not only that, but you are more than a tool. And if your father can't see that… then he is weaker than I thought. So do me one favor, beat him to a bloody pulp for me.
I never did say it, half out of denial, and half because I just didn't know how. But I do care for you. You are beautiful and your passion is amazing, and the way you keep going is inspiring. I can't fix everything, that is just a hard cold fact, I don't even know if I can help you. But I want to. I'm a big stupid idiot like that. And if I accomplish nothing else, at least I can say that I tried. So I probably died doing something stupid, or I might have pushed you a little much and you killed me, but either way, I'm glad I got to know you.

Hunter’s jaw clenched. She would not cry. She would not cry. She crumpled the note up and was about to throw it across the room when she stopped. Carefully, as if it were a priceless object, She tucked it into the pocket of her jeans. “Ready to go?” She asked Order, her voice cold and emotionless. It was just like Sam. He had died to save her, when she didn’t need saving. It was the one time when the quest didn’t get finished. This time, she vowed that it would be different. Not only would she save Kye, she would hit him so hard that he would wish he were dead. That would be for making her think that he was going to die.

Order arrived shortly, humming with power.

“Can we go now?” Hunter asked her.

Order looked at her sadly. “Let’s go.”

"We have someone who would like to meet you," a different voice sneered at Kye. He was then kicked in the side.
He coughed a bit and spat out more blood. "You guys… really know…. how to treat.. a guest," he wheezed. He was than grabbed and pulled to his knees were he was held.
"You might know this person as Chaos," the man was right in Kye's face. He hadn't even paid attention to what Kye had said.
"You know what I have to say to that?" He was being defiant. "Fuck Chaos." Which landed him a punch to the gut. He bit his lip and kept quiet though. Not giving these people the pleasure of hearing him in pain.

A dark chuckle broke through the darkness. "Gentlemen. You shouldn't treat our guest that way. After all, he is worth more alive than he is dead." A tall man stepped from the shadows. He radiated power and confidence, and made the men cower away. He had dark hair and glowing silver eyes. He smirked. "Hello, Kye."

"Aaaaaaah, well if it isn't king dipweed himself," Kye wheezed. He figured that this was going to end with him likely dead, so he was gonna make the best of it. "What's the matter? Not getting the attention you want?"

Chaos laughed. His voice was hard, and seemed to hold many dark promises. "No. I need you alive as bait. I believe you may know Hunter. And her mother, Order. My scouts tell me that you do."

"Who?" Kye looked at the man like he was crazy. "Listen I don't care who you are, but I have something else to do and you are in the way."

Chaos laughed again. "Oh, the poor boy thinks that he can trick me. You, Kye, know exactly who I am." He jerked his head at one of the men. "Gag him."

Hunter and Order were not doing well. They had gotten caught at least five times, and barely managed to escape. It was times like this when Hunter remembered how bad of a fighter her mother really was. Then, she heard a voice. It was dark and filled with madness, but charming. Order froze.

"I ain't tryin' a trick you," Kye looked at the man. "I could be gone within seconds. And you wouldn't even know." He was gagged and thrown back to the ground. Pain shot through him in waves.
I mean if you weren't about to die then sure you could disappear, but currently… I'd be impressed if you did.
Then prepare to be impressed, because I'm not stickin' around and letting Hunter get into a trap.

Chaos snorted. "Of course you could. Because it's not like there's a power dampener in this room."

Hunter finally recognized the voice, and shivered. "No…" she whispered, fear flooding her.

I don't require power to disappear. Jerkweed.
Kye merely glared at Chaos unable to speak due to the gag.
And technically you don't have power, I'm the one that allows you to use the force fields.
Yeah but he doesn't know that, so give me a moment to figure something out from where I am.

Chaos suddenly snapped his fingers. "Men? Get our two extra guests."

Kye moved slightly and grabbed a some stone off the ground behind him. If he hit it right he could make it sound like footsteps from somewhere. Which he did. He hit it on the ground and made a footsteps sounding noise from what sounded like all the way across the room.

The men turned in that direction, but Chaos scoffed. "It's going to take a little more than that to fool me, Caveman." He pointed towards the entrance. "There."

Kye bit down on the gag in frustration. This dude knew how the cave worked. Black spots danced in his vision, and breathing hurt more than anything at this point.
You know I can put force fields around people when they're a certain distance from us right.
Yeah, I know that, but they have to be like five yards from us and that is far to close to jerkweed over here.
But if need be I can help.
I know, thanks.
Kye shifted silently and pushed himself back, towards the shadows.

Hunter and Order were pulled from the shadows. Order cowered back, her gaze almost fearful, and Hunter stood firm, a defiant smirk on her face, though, if one looked closely, her jaw trembled with suppressed fear. She gave a mock bow.
"Father," she said, smirk widening at his annoyed look.

Kye moved farther into the shadows. Pain engulfed his body and made it difficult to move without making a sound. But he eventually pushed himself fully into the shadows and got his hands, which were tied behind him, in front of him.

He didn't spare a glance at Hunter. Chaos gazed at Order, his gaze hungry. He smirked, smile sharp enough to cut iron. "Hello, dear," he purred.

Kye pulled the gag out of his mouth and used a rock to cut his hands free. Then he shoved himself to his feet and began moving around the room in silence, and out of sight.

Order cowered away. Hunter rolled her eyes in disgust and tapped him on the shoulder. "What?" Chaos snarled, lashing out at her and slamming her into the cavern wall.

Kye forced himself to stay hidden, and bit his lip to keep himself from talking just yet.
How long do you think it will be before he notices that you skipped town?
I'll say that he'll notice in about thirty seconds when he looks over to laugh at me thinking he's causing me pain by hurting Hunter. That or he won't notice at all and I could just cause some mayhem here and there, to drive him nuts. Whichever comes first.
